I assume this was for the front calipers, pads and discs only??

You should clarify whether that MRC price includes fitting, as I think its parts only.

I'm sure that was a fitted price, but you would need to clarify with Doug. I had mine done over a year ago and the paperwork went with the car.

Their website quotes this though: http://www.mrctuning.com/brakekits4rs4b7.php £1250 + VAT

Hi

can you tell me the diameter of the rear caliper's pot (B7)?

Thank you.

2 questions:
1) is there a difference in the dimensions and offset of a RS4 B7 front disc and the RS4 B5 front discs?
2) Do B% RS4's and S4's share the same hub carrier (strut)

in short what is to stop me doing this on a B5 S4 with B5 RS4 discs?

OK so that was three!

Yes you can fit B5 RS4 discs, the offset must be the same as you can fit RS6 and B7 RS4 calipers to either car without special brackets , you only need different brackets if you use RS6 Discs as they do have a different offset.
The B5 disc is 360mm and the b7 is 365mm.

Having felt Brooners peddle Im convinced there is still air in his system and suggested they take the calliper off and rotate and tap it while bleeding. The only other thing I can think it might be is under sized master cylinder. Can anyone tell me if the RS6/B7 RS4 has a larger master cylinder than the B5 RS4 anyone with ETKA ?

Do any of you guys with 6 and 8 pot systems suffer from an initially spongey brake peddle firming up towards the end. Also, the peddle typically firms up and travels less upon an immediate second press. This could be indicative of more fluid volume being required to activate the four additional pistons.
hello

1- i've tested 2 RS4 B5 with the RS6/RS4 V8 front kit, all had very spongey peddle

2- that's a good question...

3- i have 6 pots on front axle and 4 pots on rear axle. My peddle is not so spongey.

However, if i use high friction level compound (carbone loraine/pagid yellow) the pedal is less spongey than with street compound.

I think that the spongey feeling depends on the initial "bite".

Chaps anyone know if just the B7 rear discs will fit the standard B5 caliper?
My calipers are fine and recently replaced but my rear discs are shot along with the pads... not that I'm planning on scrimping but I've got quite a few car toys to buy this month and they need to be changed before I take the RS on the ring and to Worthersee in 3 weeks time.

I'm looking into buying a set for the fronts of my pre-facelift 1999 S4, like the one AMD sell with the RS4 discs, pads and calipers secondhand.

What are the differences between the RS6 calipers and the RS4 calipers, will the RS4 ones I am about to purchase fit and if so why do people fit the RS6 calipers instead?

the rs6 calipers have a small strenghening brace attatched to them but i doubt this makes a difference because the b7 caliper is newer and doesnt use it. apart from that theyre the same.
