Mitchelin's were £220 each from costco - luckily had 20% at the time off if you bought 4 so approx £760 all in - they also fill the tyres with nitrogen instead of air which does make a difference. I would recommend costco 100% for tyres - guys there are real Pros and also very helpful.

To add to original thread - the previous tyres were Mitchelin P Sports but the older pattern (v shape tread) - the walls cracked badly (hence replaced) which according to Mitchelin could have been due to tyre wall shine which apparently drys out the rubber if used too much and it cracks - it was cracked so badly the cords were visible - hence I won't be using that stuff again!

I didn't use any tyre shine myself - but the previous owner did I believe as did the people that sold it to me. I would recommend not using at all - tyres look ok with a good scrub and a wipe over with a chamois (shammy - cant spell!) leather.
