Squeeky Parcel Shelf

Post by TS5RS » Wed Jun 29, 2005 7:30 am

Talking of the squeeky parcel shelf, anybody got any solutions? I have now been a RS4 owner for 2 months this is the only negative point of the car - otherwise a great drive.

My squeaky shelf was caused by the plastic prongs rubbing in the locating guides when it is extended (if you follow that). Solutions are either lubricate guides or stick material into the guides to prevent rubbing.

The silcone for the door seals can be obtained in liquid or spray form from an Audi dealer....had squeeky door seals on my old A3.

Holts make silcone spray for door rubbers from any motorist shop.

Not so...you can have a like for like replacement if you wish...Audi generally do not mix (if that's what you meant) hard and soft wheels on the same car its either all of one or the other type of alloys......OR maybe I just have a accommodating dealer? :)

Hard alloys have a 2yr warranty then you're on your own

Soft alloys...lifetime warranty
