After driving a whole afternoon I was going back home when I came across some traffic and stood still for about 30~45 seconds when suddenly everything stopped while I was standing still. I tried to start the engine but it didn't do anything. My alternator light was burning.

Some people finally came out of their cars behind me and helped pulling it over. Called a friend who had a battery starter, which did the trick and drove back home.

Back home we did some tests. Unplugged battery while the engine was idle to test if it was the alternator that was broke but no, that seemed fine.

Anyone had a similar problem ?
