RE: Re: RE: Expert mods
My car also had Forge DV's fitted- neither of them were working properly at first service/health check at MRC- its not a given that aftermarkets are the best- Doug recommended the 710's from the S3 as the diaphragm was more flexible with less inertia= better throttle adjustability. No fault codes were flagged up at either this, or succeeding 6 monthly services/oil changes......

RE: Re: RE: Expert mods
Had the airbox mod and panel filter combo done in September- difficult to detect and more power, possibly a bit torquier but definately smoother and a nice steady build up of ooomph......

RE: Re: RE: Expert mods
don't forget the support brackets for the h&r arbs unless you want some cracked subframes
the popular other option are the hotchkis arbs that include brackets are are cheaper - some say they are not as stiff but there is not much in it from what i can tell

Re: RE: Re: RE: Expert mods
I bought billet Hotchkis support brackets from Unit 20 after my H&R arbs tore my rear subframe to sh1t.philport wrote:Thank you, from where do you usually buy the support brackets?
Make sure you get brackets before you fit the H&R ARBs otherwise you could be looking at a very expensive repair job.
In trying to save myself £140 on the support brackets in the first place (by thinking my car would be ok with the ARBs on soft setting) I ended up having to fork out hundreds for the brackets and related repairwork to the subframe.
