AUDI RS4 on the Porsche Forum

Post by B5DOM » Tue May 13, 2003 10:45 am

Was it one of our guys at bruntingthorpe mentioned on page 3
Quote "There were a couple of heavily modified RS4s at Bruntingthorpe at the weekend, including a dark blue one driven by some mad Geordie bloke. Trackday weapon he admitted, plus the frightening cost of conversion (6 figures, he reckoned).

Mind you, what a machine. He arrived with wife, kids and a picnic and wrung 182 out of it. Respect. "

ha I have to laugh reading that P-site thread. Wonderful! some guy in his boxster would never have known what hit him. Reminds me of when I met my first 996TT a couple of months ago. Him in racing gloves, hammering it. Me - sitting alone in the outside lane of a 3 -lane highway doing 80kms/hr looking for trouble. He roars up behind me, and what ensued was one of the best street drags I've ever had. About 30mins of incredibly high speed jostling. That is one quick car I have to say but was no faster under acceleration than my RS and I have to say (again for those who have already read my wrap on this incident) I thought my car was pulling him in under hard acceleration. At 280km/hr shooting straight from about 100km/hr in a straight line with me right under his bumper he gave up and saluted me about 30mins later when we were both stuck in traffic.

you need a graemlin for 'seeing the white's of their eyes'

No prob, I thought RS246.com was a good site to mention for people willing to discover more about Audi RS series, as several of these Boxster owners were inquiring.

But bring on the VIDEOS !!!
