Noise coming from clutch pedal

Hi guys Just wondered if anyone has suffered from a clicking noise when you push the clutch pedal down? I can feel a definate 'bump' in the pedal towards the bottom of the travel and an audible click type noise. I asked the stealer to look at this when the car was last serviced and they told me it w...

How to reset adaptive ECU settings - again

Hi guys Sorry to bring this up again, but can anyone remember how to 'reset' the engines adaptive ecu settings??? Its been driving around a small island for the last 9 months and it just doesn't feel the same animal as it once was. Just had its second service and I asked them to reset the settings b...

RE: The 0090 Software refresh

Do you know if that upgrade can be put onto any age B7 RS4. I'm getting really frustrated by my local dealer as they have just serviced mine and I asked them to put this on. They tell me my car is a new one ( May 07 ) and does not need any upgrades........ They also said that when I mentioned 0080. ...

RE: Re: RE: have i been ripped of with first service at 494.

I've just had my first service at 7.5k and it came to £408 down here in Jersey. I tried to ask them about upgrading the software version too but they keep telling me that my car has the latest version - is there anyway to find out without VAGcom. Is there a way to find what software was on the car o...

RE: Re: RE: Strange problem

My car has the phone kit as standard and does this behaviour too. I thought it was designed to remind you to put on the headlights - it seems to operate at the same level of light as the auto setting for the headlights.

I'm off to Morzine this year which is quite low I think so hopefully the roads will be clear. What size our the wheels on our cars, I though they were 255x35x19 in which case I can't seem to find anything to fit.....?

Snow Chains

Hi guys Due to go skiing at beginning of March and as one of the drivers has just pulled out, it looks like I will be taking the RS4. Did anyone ever get a definitive answer on wether we can fit chains to our 19" rims or not?! I've searched the forums and it doesn't look too good to be honest. When ...

RE: back again - i think

Well after only 3 weeks the problem is back again , no doubt another set of plugs is fouled up. Called the dealer today and they will call me on Monday to decide the best way forward. I have found that waiting for the initial cold start cycle to finish ( normally about 1 minute ) helps slightly but ...

Picked the car up and its great - so nice after being in the load A3 for a week!!!! Had an interesting chat with the guy up there about the instructions from Audi and basically said that it was not acceptable to place requirements like that on a car - if I had wanted something I need to warm up etc ...

OK - another update. The car has been in since last Tuesday and I've just got a call to come and collect it, with guess what, a new set of spark plugs in it. They have given me some operating instructions though which I think I'll go through with them tonight. 1) Only use Super Unleaded and 2 ) Neve...

RE: Re: RE: RS4 v

Has anyone read the new Evo mag where they reviewed the C63 Vs New M3. They obviously preferred the C63 blah blah blah. BUT did you see that lap times they compared with an RS4?? On a dry track the C63 was just over 1 second faster, but when the track was wet the RS4 was over 4 seconds faster. Now l...
