I have had RE050A's on my 2004 car for the last 23000kms and pump them to 2.9 bars. They're quiet, great in the wet and very good in the dry.
They have about 50% of the tread left as I rotate every 10000kms.

I had my 2004 car done in June, having just completed 57000kms. It took about the same time as yours except I had the cambelt and ancilliaries replaced,new pads and 4 new discs (with grooves). The rear ride height is 14.5 inches as specced and the ride is perfect. The work was done by Vinny at Audi ...

2nd cambelt change
My 2004 car has just completed 57000kms (35000miles) and the cambelt is being done next week. Audi SA recommends 100000kms (60000miles)or 4 years whichever is first. Fortunately as the car is still covered under Audi Freeway Plan there is no cost to me.
