I have exactley the same fault on my RS4 saloon and its getting worse, there is a definate fault on the suspension struts on these cars.

There is a single throttleBODY but not individual throttleBODIES , ie theres not 8! Cars like tvrs have throttlebodies, ie 1 butterfly per cylinder.

There are no throttle bodies on a RS4.

Ive had an indicated approx 160 in 5th gear........ with another gear to go

It takes more speed than most to encourage the rear to oversteer. Ive been pushing mine today in wet conditions and only exiting greasy islands slight off camber and loads of welly in 2nd can i persaude it to drift, theres simply too much grip with the 4wd despite the bias to the rear. I dont think you were trying hard enough.
I ran 13.9 in my remapped S3 there, the RS4 should hit high 12s or at least low low 13s.
Was you launching with enough welly!

I find the RS4 gearbox very notchy when cold, reasonable when at normal running temp and like what people sya here abit iffy when hot.
It would be interesting to see what Audi say about these faults, are they just a trade off for a gearbox capable of handling 420hp.........
