HA HA.... this was an old shot from when I fitted them.... but having said that I have only covered about 10K miles and they are still in good shape!

Re: Boot bike carrier
+1 for the roof bars. I got the Thule ones that slide out, so you don't have to lean against the car to load them on... work a treat! I just dont like those ones that hang off the back. I always think they look like they are going to fall off and there is the danger of having tyres near a hot exhaus...

Hi Nickwigan, I had a C5 RS6 and changed for a B7 RS4 and found it too small, the bucket seats just seemed to take up loads of rear leg room (I am guessing you have a B9 or B10) I don't know if they are similar??? And the boot was way smaller than the 6. I wouldn't buy another 4 for this reason. I a...

Re: exhaust question
Thanks for the clarification Craig... So would you say that there is a big difference between standard fit Sports and the Akra? Do you think you would have been dissapointed if you had bought a new one for 6.5K?? Is it any different at slower speeds or is it just 'fuller' when the valves open under ...

Re: exhaust question
Hi all,
Craig - read your post with interest and a little confused.... Have you fitted an Akra or the APR? - just interested as it sounds perfect!?
(sorry to hijack your thread tmg)!
Cheers,
Lig.

Re: Intermittent misfires on idle - what to log?
Yeah I have read that too.... but I suppose at some point you will have to take it to a specialist to diagnose, to save throwing money at it and replacing items that potentially dont need replacing??!!
Sorry I can't be of any further help?!?!?
Hope you get it sorted...

Lig.

Hi Viio,
Have a read of this thread... might not be relevant to your issue .... but in the end it was a cheap part to change and might help, especially if you are handy and can change the part yourself ?????!!!!

Re: Thule edge wing bar & bikes
Quick answer Yes (I think) Worst case you will just have to turn the bars inline with the top tube and then its a deffo!! .... I have the sliding bars (I think you have more room on the wing bars). I turned the bars inline with the top tube on the 3 x MTBs and then had one Road bike on the 561...

Hi Rafaelblu and welcome.... 1. The diff and trans oil does not need changing at 12k.. From memory I think this is due at 40K miles.... 2. Does the knock happen when the steering is on full lock only or does it happen when travelling straight? If on full lock, then this is normal and is to do with t...

Hi Tag17, Timing chain does not need replacing. I dont know about the waterpump? On my old C5 RS6 these were done as part of the cam belt change at 40K miles (if I remember correctly)?? I am sure someone else on here can advise better on this! Personally I would rather an older car with lower miles ...

Hi Davers6 and welcome! DRC for me. I test drove two of each and easily prefered the DRC. For me it was a lot firmer in all settings and like others have said when in Dynamic it goes really firm, yes maybe too firm but I like the fact that there is such a big contrast and for a bus it feels racey in...
