Could it be knackered gearbox/diff mounts transfering more noise throuh the car? I recently fitted apikol rear diff bushes and mount, they're a lot more solid than the standard ones and transmit more rear diff noise through the bodywork, so if any of your mounts are kaput and you have metal resting ...

RS4's only came in avant form, so to widebody a saloon you need those parts, in fact it's only the rear wings and bumper that are different, he rest swap over with a spanner. So it doesn't matter that it's been done to an avant.

Gimme all the panels and bits to widebody mine.....I have magic beans waiting!

Anyone interested in my carbon X-1 intake kit, with ITG foam filter? These retailed for around $475 + shipping and taxes, so not cheap at all! Although it doesn't seem to be available anymore?!
