Power feed ( switched) for OriginB2

Hi there, Am installing my Origin B2 and need to understand if I can take a switched power feed from anywhere on the drivers side fuse board. I am currently using the fag lighter socket however this is constantly on ( ie not switched) and having a wire going over to it doesn't look too good. I have ...

Sport mode

Apart from opening up the exhaust to make a better sound, does anyone know what else the sport button actually does ?

Dave, how do you get the new disks, do we need to request them from Audi ? cheers GuyT They didn't come directly from Audi ... The "official" way is to contact your dealer to arrange for the TMC upgrade to be done under the terms of the memo sent to all dealers last month (i.e. as a warranty repair...

Having found the 2007 DVD waiting for me when I got home yesterday, I've just installed the new software (version 0550) and sure enough the TMC logo is no longer crossed out and traffic reports are appearing on the INFO page (and the RS4 startup screen is still there). The maps are a newer version ...

Aux input

Hi chaps, merry Xmas to all. I am thinking about installing a Revo DAB unit to my RS4 and really don't want to go down the FM modulator route. If I already have the centre armrest installed bluetooth kit, and a Cd changer in the glove box, is there an AUX input free on the RNS-E which I could connec...

RE: Speech control & RNS-E

Yes it is an interesting one this, it is almost as if Audi UK think the Rs4 is a track car so doesn't need the nice useful options, I mean I can understand voice control of the phone whilst on the track..." phone pits...need more fuel etc" but as the Stig on Topgear proves, you also need to be able ...

RE: Speech control & RNS-E

Looks like that is it Craig, how come others have it and it is in the manual...I can't see it anywhere in the UK Audi pricelist ??

cheers
Guy

PS is it possible to activate it on the current RNS-E or do I need a completely new one ?

Speech control & RNS-E

Have a new RS4 with the latest RNS-E and by pushing a button on the steering wheel it allows me to voice command the telephone system. The manual states that voice commands can also be used for Nav , Cd etc however this doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something here, if the Dial functions work, w...

I have just chucked my M5 in for an Rs4....yes the M5 is a lot faster however in the wet it is a liability. The M5 is more like a very fast comfortable saloon...no feeling from the road whereas the RS4 feels like a track car...

MP3 compression for SD card use

I am building up a list of albums to burn onto my SD card for use in the car. The question is, what bit rate to use. Has anyone got experience of the loss of quality in a Bose system when you tune the bit rate down. I am currently saving at 192 KB which makes the ave song in MP3 format about 3MB. An...
