Same here, running Dunlops all round and road noise is normally fine and does very much depend on the surface.

RE: Thinking about a C6 saloon from an RS4. Your views?

Hi, I had a RS4 B7 saloon previously and whilst I loved it to drive I was always slightly disappointed in the boot access. Whilst it had a good sized boot you couldnt actually fit anything decent in. The seats were also not great for getting in and out of, something that my wife mainly whinged about...

Black Optics Retro-fit?

Hi all, been a while since I have been back on the site but after swapping in my last B7 RS4 for a C6 RS6 late last year I have been looking at some remaps and making a few cosmetic tweaks... I have done a search but cant see any other topics covering this, but is there a black optics pack available...

Tyre Pressures + Engine Coolant

Been a while since I've been on here, but need to check a few things out on the car and not being the most mechanical of people (computers, etc fine... cars, not so good) I could do with some advice. 1) Tyre pressure warning indicator has come on (yellow one) and need to check and top up the tyre pr...

I cant help but think that you might be worrying a bit too much? If Audi cant design a £50k car that can be used on short commuting trips without major problems then God help them as a company... As other people have said as long as you arent thrashing it on the short trips until its up to temperatu...

The only whining noise I get is when the missus is in the car...

Sorry, couldnt resist...

But on a more serious note, I havent noticed this on both the B7 RS4's I've had

Have you tried speaking to your bank about getting the cheque recalled? From what I can recall its pretty straight forward even if its been cashed... the other thing is to open a dispute within eBay and eBay should refund you your money and then they take it up with the seller.

Totally agree! mine new one arrives this week and I bought it on the basis that I intend to do over 20k a year in her !! Surely if your doing shed loads of miles you want to do it with a big smile on your face. I'm always suspicous of low milage cars that have been sitting around on a drive or in a...

Re: Another B7 RS4 remap

First off, dig out your favourite ‘driving hard like you stole it’ CD and set the volume up reasonably loud < snip> That’s about it really, I swear that with all the windows fully down and that CD playing as loud as you dare plus going through a narrow street with buildings either side then I recko...

RE: REG PLATE FOR SALE

A mate sent me that one the other day... not sure about it either :-( When I had my old 996 C2 I was tempted to buy the number plate S70 PME (straighten the 7 a bit)... good job I didnt as probably would have been asking for it, especially as I got stopped doing a "few miles over the speed limit" a ...

Same here, I do a few runs to Cornwall from Surrey and when I get to around the 250 mile mark I start to worry about running out of fuel... with a little more sensible driving I should be able to get around the 300 mark but that would be driving rather conservatively.

RE: Re: RE: Sat Nav and Traffic Cameras/POI

I'd be interested in changing to a Pogo Alert, but I am wondering how its powered when its hardwired? I currently have a RoadPilot Micro Go, and its <beep> to be honest... yep, its nice and small but it's not exactly accurate and frequently warns me of an impending 20mph speed camera when i am on a ...

I always fill mine up on V-Power, or BP Ultimate where I cant get any V-Power stuff... I havent found any other places local to me doing other petrol, i.e. Tesco 99... I heard Esso had their own stuff, 100 RON? and Texaco I think have some... I have had a couple of tanks of 95 RON in the RS4 when it...

RE: Who do you insure with?

Bit of an open ended question really, as most people will have different circumstances, postcodes, needs, etc... But for me, I have just changed to Admiral and they seemed to offer the best level of cover for the price. In the past I have had decent quotes from Bell Direct, Elephant, etc... basicall...
