Re: Sainsbury Petrol Can it make that much difference?
Tony, I think you should try Shell Optimax, as both Wombat and I notice a massive difference .. If your normal is what I felt with Sainsbury super, you're missing out .. By the way I'm not a million miles away ( Greatham, No ones ever heard of it .. so I normally put Petersfield ... ) .... Cheers Wa...

Sainsbury Petrol Can it make that much difference?
2 Days ago I had to put some Sainsbury Petrol ( super ) in my S4. The BP station was in darkness ( still don't know why ) and the nearest other station was 10+ miles away in the wrong direction AND my car said 15 miles ( I'm never sure about those things and don't want to run out for a number of rea...

Re: Its Here and I like It
I been unable to drive for 6 weeks ( bad back ) .. It's one thing having to wait for a car, but to have the car for a few weeks ( 2500 miles ) and then not be able to drive it ( parked outside ) is well .. Not Good Any way .. hopefully on the mend now .. and wou...

Re: Tyres
The Conti's are not bad, but they do push wide if cornering hard ( in the dry ) .. I have not tried too many times to push on in the wet, mainly due to this countries change of weather .. But now winters here I'm sure I will get an opportunity .. If they under steer in the dry they must be worse in ...

Re: Awaiting the Birth
My dealer is Guildford Audi .. I will speak to them and AmD directly and I will let you know ..
Would you know which dealers said it would be OK .. I can put their name forward if Guildford say "No Way !!"

Tyres
I have just read an Auto Car write up on Tyres to find my current S4's Continental tyres ( Conti Sport Contact ) are the worst tyres in the pack .. In "Wet Weather" only just beating the "trick" cup tyres which are almost slicks ... My Impreza STI had Pirelli P Zero Neros which were great [img]image...

Noises and Smells
I am the proud owner of a S4 4.2, But it has some strange noises and smells .. It would be good to know if these are normal or signs of problems lurking .. Noises 1) As stated in a previous thread .. gearbox crunch … 2) Road noise ~ very loud, what sou...

Re: Service Interval
My S4 is telling me to get it serviced in approx. 14000 miles from now .. it's currently got 2500 on the clock .. The only confusing thing is that it does not need a first service ( Oil change ) If it's the same oil from new with 16000+ miles on it .. what st...

Re: Any new S4 owners here?
I think that must be true. When I ordered my S4, I ordered the dolphin gray with extras etc. first I was told it would be 8-12 weeks delivery ... After 6 weeks I was told that Audi had a problem and delivery would be another 8-12 weeks on top of the original ... possible 24 week delivery ... Fortuna...

Re: Guildford Audi
I actually brought my S4 from them .. Franko was very helpful and so far they have been very good .. As for the space etc .. they have purchased the very large open field on the right as you turn down their road. Some time next year they will be opening a hugh dealership, so I been told [img]images/...

Re: Any new S4 owners here?
Also sorry to take so long in replying .. Work etc .. My car has now done 1500 miles, not yet loosing up, but it’s difficult to know as, unfortunately, it has felt slower than my STI from day one. The reason for the change from Subaru to Audi was not just speed so not such an issue .. The reason is ...
