RE: 18" to 19" wheels on B6 S4

Cheers I-Want, I had no idea what ET was, so they would certainly fill the arches then. I was not looking at changing, but a friend has these on his Passat (!!) and they look really wrong, he was offering me the set with rubber at £500... I see your point though, I'm a little concerned that they wil...

18" to 19" wheels on B6 S4

Hello all Does anyone know the weight of the below 19" wheels compared to the standard 18" Avus S4(B6) wheels? I've been thinking about replacing the standard ones, but am concerned they wont be the correct offset etc. ET(?) on the standard Avus is 45mm whereas the 19" are 35mm (I think) ...will thi...

Pics!!!!!!

Edited: Just saw your pics...looks sweet!

I'm thinking of doing this to mine, purely for asthetic reasons only. How is the ride (much improved in term of roll, but crashy?) and what was the cost (all in).

Cheers

If possible, give the car back and buy a 911 (993 of course).

155

I'm surprised at how the S4 keeps pulling at well over the 100mph mark - anyone know how far over the 155Mph limiter it could go if de-restricted?

Has anyone here hit the limiter and if so, was it dead on 155?

Thanks

Hi Gekko - hope you are enjoying the S4...I know its no RS4 but hopefully it will be a wise choice for you :D Had mine just over a week now and keep on finding myself going out for ever longer drives at lunchtime (just went 3 junctions down the motorway to pick up a sandwhich). Its not a completly d...

RE: Weheeeey!

Cheers guys, I got all excited reading the manual last night and popped out to play only to find I didnt have them. oh well. No pics yet, I'll see what I can do. Its black with grey leather and pimped windows (not my ideal choice but they are growing on me) so it looks pretty standard. Well, as stan...

Weheeeey!

Picked up my 03 S4 on Saturday. It was one I looked at a couple of weeks ago but I resisted the urge to part-ex my 993 and sold that privately...then the Audi trader phoned me back and we haggled the price to where I was comfortable. Anyway, I love the car. Very comfortable compared to the old Porsc...

rs666 - that was exactly my thoughts when I sat in the 997!! The only think that let it down was the door handles...they look bad and they feel bad. Certianly not 993 build quality

Gekko, I really feel for you...must be a bummer not getting the car you want becuase of some tax-dodging pikey scum. Still, after what happened I dont think anyone would disagree with what you are doing. One of the reasons for my change of car is that I wanted something more low key (993S to B6 S4) ...

RE: A sad day

Picking up my 2003 S4 Saloon on Saturday! Slightly higher miles that I wanted but the price reflected this and it seemed a well cared for car. Black with Grey leather too so the spec I wanted.

Happy days!

A sad day

Well, I sold my 993 on Friday...was very sorry to see it go after 4 years. Feel like my arm is missing or something! Still, I cant wait for the right S4 to turn up - hopefully I'll be able to have a good look around for one on Saturday! In the meantime, if anyone knows of a nice Black/Grey with grey...

Hhaha, well I'm 30 now so maybe I need something that feels a bit more sedate. Maybe I'll narrow down my search to automatic tansmission only (Joke). I'm quite looking forward to the effortless driving - long distnces in the 993 can be tiresome with the noise and front wheels feeling for every groov...
