Re: running noticeably faster on bp97

Ive been running BP97 for six months - used to use anything I could get. MPG better than before and it pulls like a train above 5200. Its really obvious, and Im sure its not a placebo.

66000 happy miles, still making me laugh out loud on occasions

Re: Well here it is...

Not really bothered about the look of it - you dont see that when you're sitting inside. I'm disappointed about the power, 444bhp and the same torque - not enough difference to make me want to accept the £7-50 the dealers will offer me for my 06 Avant.( A faultless 61,000 miles, one careful, happy o...

Personally, Im delighted to be regarded as a cock. Over the past few years Ive loved driving my 2.7 S4 and then my V8 S4 - universally derided by journalists as not being "drivers cars". I was worried about the praise heaped on the RS4 - I love it. It didnt suit me being in a car being praised by th...

If Prudence is going to make me pay £300 or £400 in Road Tax for having a "gas guzzler" then I'm damn well going to enjoy it!!! Getting around 12 on a fast run home at night - all B roads, up to 22 on motorways. Best ever, 24 and a bit; worst ever, 9 and a wee bit. Guess which I enjoyed more.

Agree with Petrol Dave. I went for the Avant - the difference in performance is irrelevant, unless you drive with a stopwatch.

The Avant surprises them all. Grandads estate car, with old grey haired me smiling at them disappearing in the rear-view mirror.

...and it carries my fishing rods.

I changed from an 03 S4 to the RS4. I agree with all thats been said. The RS4 is in a different league - not saying the S4 isnt a good car; just the RS4 is brilliant. The suspension is miraculous; the engine is even more. If you look at it in financial terms, its difficult to justify. But I cant put...

Passed a bloke this morning, his car has 50/50 weight balance for perfect handling.

He wasnt pleased, but spinning rear wheels aren't attractive. I had to drive round him - the cheery wave may have pissed him off slightly. Overtaken at 8 mph.

Phoned Slough Audi yesterday - wanted to charge me for labour. I queried this. They phoned me back after speaking "to my manager" and said it was definately chargeable! I was asked to contact Tom Peterkin when I mentioned him - couldnt they have done this? :? Tom contacted Slough for me, they now kn...

Just passed 6000 miles. Definite kick in the pants after 5800-6000 rpm. The engine noise is wonderful - still makes me laugh out loud. Fuel - 22.6mpg on a recent Scotland run; ok, mostly motorway driving and not spanking it, but not any worse than my old S4. Oil consumption - nil since 3000 miles. S...

Re: Jay Kay and his RS4 Avant in Mail on Sunday

Isn't it great to read something positive about the RS4 for a change instead of looking at threads on this site about depreciation and Audi getting it wrong and what a white elephant it's turned out to be. could'nt agree with you more. :D I still laugh out loud when I press the S button. Some peopl...
