So, i'm planning on taking the S3 to the continent for a week - and looking in the manual it says the headlights can only be changed at an Audi garage, which is a PITA... I can't imagine its that difficult - so does anyone know how you switch it over? I'm guessing because they are HID you can't simp...

I'd reccomend just thinking ahead...

If you've been ragging it, drive the last bit off the turbo, leave the car to idle for 30-60 seconds before switching off and its fine... thats all turbo timers really do.

yeah, i'd say for the age/mileage the price you quote seems about right..

I got my renewal through and the cheeky buggers were trying to charge me as much for the S3 as they did for the 996...

one phone call later, 400 quid, fully comp with buisness use.

I was meaning can I run it on 95 RON? My 996 says in the manual it retards the timing if the fuel is below 98RON, now not that I have run it on that, but then the S3 was supposed to be the sensible car!

what does the manual say though?

does it need super, or can it run on either?

I'd say that its just the temperature going up with the ambient air temp + usage, when it hits 90 the fans kick in and bring it back down again, then shut down, then the temp builds again and so on...

I wouldnt say its anything to worry about.
