RE: temp gauge
Hello Dave, Changed the temperature sender unit at weekend, problem solved! Thanks for your advice, No other faults found on diagnostics. Bit concerned about mine, getting its 2nd wind at 5K, you get a real noticeable shove that low in the revs!? Any suggestions as to getting this checked out? I don...

RE: temp gauge
Mine is a 2000, totally standard with 40,000miles. Up until this point its been faultless. It seems to run absolutely fine, although occassionally it will slightly miss when you first start it up?! One other thing I've noticed, at high revs, say 5,000 the engine gives a noticeable kick & really takes...

temp gauge
Hello All,
My temp gauge has just developed a mind of its own!? It now moves up to the middle of the gauge as normal, but then goes back down to zero as and when it feels like, continuing to yo-yo until you restart. During this time the car runs fine. Any ideas???
Thanks
Mark

50k service
Can anyone tell me the parts needed to carry out the 50k service?
I'm thinking of getting a friend who's a VAG mech do actually do the service, or is it a better ides to go main dealer?
Is there any alternative to buying the parts from a main dealer?
Thanks
Mark

RE: audi s3 bhp
The facelift model was introduced across the A3 range in 2001, you can get some facelift models registered at the end of 2000 though. From my research before I bought my S3, the differences I spotted were on the outside, 1 piece headlights and newer current Audi style rear lights along with differen...

RE: audi s3 bhp
Hello James, I've just bought an S3, and although I am by no means an expert on the car. I thought I'd let you know you what I found out doing my research and test drives. Firstly you cannot get a 225bhp engine on the 2000 model. This was only available at the end of the cars production life, I thin...

New to RS246
Hello All, I've just registered with RS246, after a friend recommended it. I've recently got myself a fantastic S3 ! Its a 1 owner from new car and the previous owner has looked after it so well. The car is a 2000 so is pre face lift. Does any one know if you can simply change the lights over to the...

Just been reading the comments on the heated seats, I've an S3 without them, around this time of year you do starting thinking "I really should have gone for the heated seat option" So is it true can we go for it simply by getting the loom and switches? How can we tell if the seats just need connect...
