Re: ESP light…
How did you get on with the wife’s mot Shopp? Thanks to you mine sailed through with zero lights on. The knocking was a loose subframe bolt. Strange that they came on both together…

Re: ESP light…
Red herring spotter Shopp. Steering angle sensor like you said. Recalibrated on vcds. I was mystified why the light and the knock appears at the same time. Now to find the knocking. Thanks again Shopp!

Re: ESP light…
Thanks Shop, was thinking similar as I’ve recently replaced the indicator stalk?! Going back to the red herrings, the knocking suspension issue wouldn’t throw up that light then?

ESP light…
Morning guys, day before mot and she’s just thrown up a light. Only one, ESP. It comes on when steering goes from lock to lock when parking. It comes on with an associated strange knocking and thud you can feel through the peddles. Goes off with the key, returns again after steering. Been through a ...

Re: Anybody have a Valve Body I can "borrow" please?
Morning, only just seen this. Footlong, I have a VB from a 80k gb. It’s recently been flow tested for wear. Solenoids tested and the Transgo valve installed PRV. Done by a UK VB specialist and is good to go if you’re still stuck? Had two done at the same time.

Re: New RS6 owner!
Glad you had kinda solved the ‘PRNDS’ fault, would love to know what’s actually causing it with my box presently sitting on the bench. Went to Vorsprung event on Sunday instead of venturing to Goodwood. Only one C5 there, in Misano with a manual conversion with C6 rims. Anyone on here? Two B5 RS4, l...

Re: RS6 Gearbox expert recommendations
That’s great James, thanks. Thinking it was that one feeding clutch pack A. Many guys on here know that that particular clutch drum splits with the excessive pressure caused by the worn oil way on the pressure relief valve circuit. Can we conclude that this oil feed pipe splits, caused by the same p...

Re: RS6 Gearbox expert recommendations
I’ve attached a photo of the gearbox underside as I’ve got it on the bench. Hopefully it will show up.. just wanted to confirm which pipe is the culprit when you loose pressure to clutch pack A for 1st and 2nd?

Climate control module.
Heyup guys, looked through historical posts but couldn’t find anything which answers this… we will all be aware that the button wear on the climate control unit look unsightly. Had a good relationship with a breaker who had a few C5’s and he assured me that I would be able to buy one in perfect cond...

Re: RS6 Gearbox expert recommendations
Ah that’s brilliant, thank you mate. Yeah, the US have some pretty strange TC transmission setups I noticed. Those three speed 6 Litre things are another world. Where/what did you settle for in the end? As for forever car, I made that decision last summer when I brought back my C5 100 k miles and 20...

Re: RS6 Gearbox expert recommendations
All very interesting. Only this morning was looking at Audi forums.com to find someone doing a diy rebuild. It’s more common than I ever thought. Is this brought on by owners frustration in gearbox shops hesitation in wanting to improve the strength of the transmission?? I don’t know. First port of ...

Re: RS6 Gearbox expert recommendations
Heyup guys, if I could just add this to the thread and also an update on a thread I started back late last year regarding the same. After having the usual transmission issues widely experienced with the 5HP24, I’ve done what most have probably done on here and researched into the causes of why the b...
