Re: valve cover bolt replacment
Just push the bolts out of the rocker cover. The complete assembly, bolt, sleeve and grommet come out as one piece from the rocker cover with a bit of a push

Re: Bose fuse
Sounds similar to the issues I was having. Although I have RNS-D. There were about 7 wires terminated in one bullet looking crimp if I recall, passenger side uk car along the transmission tunnel. Below the inner seat runner. Was green full of verdigris. Chopped out and reterminated and got sound back.

Re: Engine removal YouTube video
The fear I had the whole time i was doing my engine out work of something like this happening to me and it all needing to come back out again was huge! Then you could forget something else, nip another seal, get another dodgy part, blah blah blah and be at it again and again. Could be the never endi...

They were also custom built to whatever turbo setup that car was built with.

Re: Suspect dead right hand turbo.
It would of been easy to give up and I can see why many probably do. Especially if you dont tackle it by yourself, the labour cost on top of parts prices would be eye watering on sadly what is a car with not alot of value! I replaced only the damaged manifold. The other manifold was removed and thor...

Re: EGT sensors.
If you dont get plagued with seized and or snapping bolts etc I'd say 10hours is fair. Maybe quicker in a proper shop on a ramp. Engine out would really be an absolute last resort for me. And once that decision is made like above has said its an incredible list of other stuff to get done while it's ...

Re: EGT sensors.
Absolutely engine out for manifold gaskets. Id want to be 100% confident on it being a manifold gasket issue before taking the plunge. The Super Ron rs6 manifolds failed in the same place my manifold failed but seemed to fail in a different way. His was clearly leaking exhaust gas out. You could hea...

Re: Can’t source a radiator!
When I bought my car it had the cheaper radiator fitted and it looked to of been fairly recent. The hose that should connect to the radiator from the after run pump was just blocked off I later found. This is when I learnt about the differences in radiators. I had decided I'd try and source a good u...

Re: Rear upper and lower suspension arms
Felix,
Of course if Varks doesn't take you up on them rear arms I will. I'm also in a position of wanting to refurb the rear end and I'd rather have a spare set off the car ready to swap over.

Re: ground wire
Look around the starter motor area. Which is uk drivers side. Look from under the car up at that side chassis leg and there is a large ground connection bolted up to the underside of that chassis leg. 13mm nut if i recall. In amongst that is a few cables that head down to the alternator and the star...
