Re: DRC Shock Refurbishment
Good old DRC - fantastic when working, piece of junk when its not I'm not sure these can be refurbished to be honest, at least from what I've seen. Worth bearing in mind that not all main dealers or independents have the kit to recharge the DRC either. I've had mine in to Audi on 3 separate occasion...

Re: Oil Consumption Concerns
Light came back on after 160miles, turned out the sensor was just faulty, replaced under warranty but just monitoring the oil consumption for now.
Also do you know if the PCV is replaced when the strainer is done?

Re: Oil Consumption Concerns
Added a litre of oil which then showed 3/4 on the MMI. Then after one week it went up one notch and then down to 3/4 a few days later. Car has now thrown me the check engine light, looking through an OBD scanner I’m getting two codes (P209600 and P12B700) One relates to active post cat bank 1 runnin...

Oil Consumption Concerns
Hi Just wondering how people are doing for oil consumption, particularly on those that have had the oil separator done and more higher mileage examples. Reason I ask is, in April @ 79,164 miles, I had Audi do a full oil change. I think the engine takes approx 8.5 to 9 litres of oil. I've just done a...

Gearbox Oil
Hi Recently, I have been having some not so smooth gear changes when the box is cold. Once warm, it is pretty much great but upshifts and in particular downshifts can seem quite harsh and lumpy. I had the car in recently for some famous DRC replacement damper work and had them update the gearbox sof...

Re: Anyone know this car from Huddersfield Audi? FV16OJC
Ah now then, where did you pick this up from? To be fair when I test drove that car it seemed fine but I couldn’t take the risk. Interestingly when I spoke to my buddy down at Hudds, before it went to auction it had come back with a few issues to be fixed, one of them was the high pressure fuel pump...

Re: DRC refill
Had mine done under warranty. As mentioned it’s a diagonally linked system with 2 valve assemblies at the rear and these can get damaged when pressure is lost. I had knocking from the front right and rear left. Dealer refilled and pressurised (over 20+ bar) and has been OK since, so I may have been ...

Re: Living with an RS6?
My previous car was a 2015 A6 allroad and was the first car I've owned with air suspension. If you want comfort then air is the way to go and can be raised or lowered. I have DRC on my RS6 and was actually surprised at how well it rides although I am on the 20inch forged rims which probably helps. P...

Re: Higher Mileage C7's
Sorry for off topic but did you felt anything after strainer was replaced? And for drc when it’s needed to refill. Thanks Not a difference with the strainers done, just in my head its one less thing to worry about The DRC though definitely, was knocking on the right front damper and rear left dampe...

Re: Gauging values...
You can bet either a map at some point in life or possibly not serviced at a main dealer
I think its hard for main dealers to find these cars that haven't been played with in some way

Re: Higher Mileage C7's
I have come late to the game, lusted for one since the C7 came out in 2013. Bought mine with 69K on the clock in March, runs like a dream. Had the oil strainers done and DRC refilled under warranty. Interior wise, it does show its age to the C8 and other cars you listed but exterior wise it still lo...

Hi
Just be aware if that if you want a warranty then sytner select vehicles only cover up to 4K on repairs which is nothing on an RS6
If you want it then push for a full Audi warranty
Regards
Rich
