Re: Fitted new TPMS - TX-S001 Direct Fit TPMS Sensor

Hi Ben

This is really good info. Like you I also run my tyres at about 3 bar and one day when I find BBS compatible sensors I may re-enable the TPMS on my car :-)

Re: Air con - fixed just in time for the heatwave

Digging this old thread up hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My air con has packed up due the drier leaking (split housing) Nobby, did the alternative from Autodoc fit? looks like the male and female threads are reversed in the pictures. Does anyone know where I can get one please...

Re: Does anyone know how to activate auxiliary water pump with VCDS?

Is this a different/additional unit to the Auxiliary Water Pump in a D2 A8/S8? Because that just runs all the time AFAIK, don't even think you can see it in VCDS. The only separate way of controlling it is when using the residual heat system when parked as that turns it on so there must be a relay ...

Re: Does anyone know how to activate auxiliary water pump with VCDS?

Tried it. It does not have the option under the output test. It activates only the SAI pump (secondary air injection). Looking at the service manual all the tests prerequisites start with engine warm to at least 90C (can’t remember specifically the temperature) if temperature not achieved drive car...

Good news, glad that all is well :-)

Apologies for the late reply, summer and holidays means I haven't been here so often.

Re: Strange noise and vibration.

What you describe sounds like it could be an inner CV joint. Or possibly a diff bearing. On one side it's easy to replace and on the other it's a 'mare. You can check for play on the drive shafts. Did you notice any oil leaks while the car was standing? You might want to check the oil levels in the...

Re: Rear view mirror sticky pad

Hi Paul Hows this going? I did do a bit of research on this after our last conversation, seem the rearview mirror kits can work quite well. But failing that, another option would be to take it to an AutoGlass place where they use a UV-curing cyanoacrylate adhesive. So there is an option other than b...

Re: Help with sourcing vac lines etc.

IMG_0840.png If you zoom in on the photo. The part no is on the box. 077 121 599A. There was some confusion at the time with the last letter. But I was assured that is the correct pump. Bought from Audi Tradition IIRC. Someone on here fitted this pump and recommended it. So I bought one for when an...
