Re: Main (crankshaft) bearings
I can not find OE main bearings aside from yellow pairs on eBay. As i understand it, the bearing #1 pair has 6 choices (red, yellow, blue) and bearings #2-5 also have 6 choices. Does that mean a bearing for #2-5 will not work in bearing #1? Does anyone know where i can go to find equivalent bearing...

Re: Main (crankshaft) bearings
I wonder if these guys would be any help? The engine was co-developed with cosworth and they seem to offer spares and also manufacture as they have access to a lot of drawings. https://modatek.co.uk/?v=79cba1185463 You may be onto something. I did look at their site. I think again age of car workin...

Re: Main (crankshaft) bearings
Good afternoon you will struggle finding bearings for the RS6 engine as they are no longer produced. You can’t even get them through Audi tradition either. There are no aftermarket options out there for us to lean on when we need them (Yet) But I am in the process of having king race bearings makin...

Re: oil pressure sensor / sender replace or measure pressure
just a follow up - thanks again for the insight. I re-installed the passenger aux. radiator this week. i'm going to see if that eliminates the pressure warnings before proceeding. i had it removed as the european version of the rs6 didn't include either of the two radiatiors. i live in a similar cli...

Re: oil pressure sensor / sender replace or measure pressure
Interested if you managed to do this. I couldn't without removing at least the lock carrier - any pics? you can get it off but its a bit of a pain and have be care full you don't crush the washer that go's in to the block as it will leak oil.you can get a kit from 42 draft designs for just under £5...

oil pressure sensor / sender replace or measure pressure
has anyone replaced the one-wire pressure sender located forward of the oil filter on the passenger side of the engine block? if so, was it done without removing the engine? i'm talking, obviously, only about the c5 rs6 as other audis i'm sure don't suffer from this messed-up design locale. i'm suff...

Re: low specified boost pressure (mbar)
fingers crossed - three drives later and car remains a rocket (i'm logging each run w/ vcds so it's not my imagination). you're right that i did have an overboost issue. i corrected it by mistakenly backing off wastegate spring tension for the driver's turbo. backed it off to such an extent that tha...

Re: low specified boost pressure (mbar)
so, amazingly, turns out all i had to do was unplug the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes. car is now scary fast. it's like going from 4.2 a6 to rs6. now - why did this fix the problem?? clearing codes in vcds had no impact whatsoever. thank you.

low specified boost pressure (mbar)
hi. i have an '03 rs6. i recently sealed its intercoolers and repaired an unmetered air issue due to a cracked wastegate feed. my concern is the low "specificied boost" log printout i'm getting after 3rd and 4th gear turbo spools. specifically, the highest # i've seen is 1370 mbar (about 6 psi boost...
