Just an update, yeah, I’ve had them come on a few times since.
I’ve got out when I’ve known it’s not and heard them. Not sure the actual coolant temp was though. Only stay on about 5 seconds after switching off the engine

Re: What temp do your cooling fans come on?
Hey, don't want to revive such an old thread but I have this question too. My fans don't stay on after a long drive at all. I did the Stelvio Pass yesterday, 34ºC ambient temp (ish, got cooler as I climbed but didn't go below 27ºC) and the oil got up to about 115ºC according to the instrument cluste...

Re: Full Clutch Kit Recommends
Are the Crank sensor and coolant temp sensors "while you're in there' jobs?
If so, any idea of part numbers?
Thanks,
B

Re: I did exactly what you're not supposed to do | Fuel Costs
Shame you didn’t track the mileage, would have been interesting to see the long term MPG. I’m 1 month and 1k miles into ownership and have had to disable MPG from the trip computer menu to help keep me sane !! So I can't give an exact figure but I know the exact mileage when I bought the car as I t...

I did exactly what you're not supposed to do | Fuel Costs
So from the very first time I put fuel in my car I kept the receipt. I'm not sure why really. I think because this was my first "big boy car" so to speak. First time in my life I was able to realistically fork up the cash for something like an RS4. I knew it was going to be a pricey one to run so I ...

Hey All,
Just to give you an idea of how this panned out. Audi advised the component failed and they've cover everything under warranty. I picked up the car today and has a brand new shock in it.
Lovely stuff. Credit to Belfast Audi for such a good service!

Re: DRC Fail after just 5k miles - Where do I stand with Audi?
Looking at the dates on the packaging the shocks came with, I think they were all made over 10 years ago now. So probably from the batch of Rev 3 dampers introduced to eliminate the leaking DRC damper issues..... Well if they are the Rev 3 dampers.. they didn't solve the problem. I believe th...

Re: DRC Fail after just 5k miles - Where do I stand with Audi?
This is not good reading for someone who has just installed a brand new DRC system lol! Just to add, my car went off to have the brand new system charged and upon return, during final inspection the drivers side front shock was leaking  It had only done a handful of miles so 100% a defective ...

Re: DRC Fail after just 5k miles - Where do I stand with Audi?
If you had it installed and drove it without it first being recharged you most likely damaged the shock and even the rear central valve. They have to be installed and charged at the same time. If that wasn't the case then it may be that you hit a pothole, or the shock itself is faulty early. I had ...

Re: DRC Fail after just 5k miles - Where do I stand with Audi?
I’m pretty sure all genuine parts bought from a dealer come with a 2 year warranty, now providing the garage that fitted it are VAT registered & you have all the invoices (part & fitting), you can claim through Audi, but I’m pretty sure your car will have to go into Audi for the work to be redone &...

Re: Suspension
Hey,
It depends on which suspension you have. There are 3 different kinda as far as I know. Comfort, Sport and Sport+
I'd say ring Audi, give them your VIN and they can give you a part number and a price. Then you can see if you can source one cheaper or not.
That's how I'd go about it

DRC Fail after just 5k miles - Where do I stand with Audi?
Hey all, As the title suggests, I've had a rear drivers side DRC Shock fail after about 5k miles. I bought the shock brand new from Audi, I got it fitted by an independent and then the car went back to Audi for a re-charge of the system. Driving home yesterday I heard the dreaded knock, I thought it...

Re: Front brake lines. Engine drop?
Unfortunately I’m over in Ireland so it wont be an option of bringing the car to them.
I’ve rung around a few places over here and almost nobody is willing to even look at it. So who knows how this’ll pan out.
Thanks for the response though. Who knows. I might have to bring it to them. Haha

Re: Gearbox notchy?
Mine is much the same into 1st gear especially from very cold. I sometimes go into 2nd then 1st which can seem a bit smoother but maybe it's in my head. Sent from my SM-N976B using Tapatalk I'm the exact same. From first start it can be a bit tough to get into first so I row from 3rd to 2nd and the...

Front brake lines. Engine drop?
Hello all, So… went for the MOT this morning and failed. Front near side brake line is leaking. Not at the calliper end but at the other end. How far up the creek am I? I’ve roughly priced the hard lines and they’re not expensive but I’ve read I need to drop the engine to put them in. Sounds like a ...
