RE: Post faclift rear bumper on a pre-faclift saloon

Many thanks for all your responses. Is the black skirt detachable? I did a search for rear bumpers before posting but missed your thread Chris, maybe I skipped it because it was for an Avant. Thanks the link. I couldn't find anything useful for 8D5 807301... A GRU or EA GRU or GRU A, althou...

Post faclift rear bumper on a pre-faclift saloon

Hi, I've got a pre-facelift 98 saloon. I was rear/side ended by a skip lorry, so need to a new rear bumper but the body shop have told me that Audi cant supply the same pre-facelift bumper. I've read that the mid- & post facelift cars have a reshaped rear bumper, is this simply a direct fit? Or do I...

Hi Crusty,

I'll be down that way for the bank holiday at the end of the month, if it's still available then I'll be happy to take a look for you.

I'm going to have to bow out this time as something else has come up so it's unlikely I'll be in Devon.

Hope it can become something of a semi-regular meet, then I can plan for it.

Cheers,
Mark

Seems like Saturday lunch/afternoon is the best time for all.

Where to? Somewhere on the moors like Two Bridges or Princetown or the coast would be more fun than than A38 corridor.

Cheers,
Mark

I've got my car going for a MRC heathcheck in July, Doug suggested that the diff oil should be changed every 80K, so I'm getting it changed then as well.

Rang up the local Audi dealer (Portsmouth) to order the parts for this mod, the conversation went something like this: Me: I'd like to order a new thermo switch, part no 021 919369. Dealer: That's a part for a VW transporter, it will not fit an S4 Me: I'll take a chance, do you have the part in stoc...

Re: RE: Wheel Alignment

Same for me... but in the Southwest - Devon... There is a good place in Newton Abbot, AMS which is down Brunel Road behind the train station, they have the right program for an S4 and were pretty cheap, £80 for 4 wheel check, adjustment to 1 rear and Nitrogen in the tyres. Much better than the dodg...

I'd been nursing it along the M4 to get to the sevices, so no heavy right foot this time. Before it was recently serviced I used to get a range of 320ish on a full tank, but since then it reads low, I never put that much faith in the computer anyway, usually get about 300 miles out of a tank & use t...

Fuel tank capacity

Hi All, I know there has been some discussions before about the fuel tank capacity, but has anyone ever managed to squeeze 68 litres in? I did last night at the BP sevices at the junction of M4 & A34 (southbound), pump 8. Been running for about 20 miles after 0 miles range and I did use the button, ...
