Re: The Mapping coin
Sorry, haven't checked in for while. Very happy with the Remus. It can be a little droney but only when in comfort mode, D8, under labour. Knock it down to 7 or Sport Mode and all droneyness goes away. I did eliminate the front silencers and so this probably accounts for that. The noise is just righ...

Wheel Value
Hi all, I have my original 21 inch 9.5J RS6 Wheels. They're not perfect and could do with a refurb, but they are straight and no dings, cracks etc. except for some curbing on three of them (not real deep). Question is, what are they worth? If it's worth it I'll put them up for sale, all proceeds to ...

Re: Electronic Handbrake
In the US they call it an emergency brake and consequently that's what they use it for. Never for parking. You don't hear of thousands of US claims because they broke their gearbox. Just sayin'

Re: Short plate
Mines mounted on the same brackets I suspect as RS6chris. I drilled smaller holes through the 3D (legal) CF lettering so for shows I can easily unscrew the plate. The screws are trapped between the plate and bracket so can't be lost. Looks so much cleaner without any sort of surround although it doe...

Re: Cleaning...
Thanks, spongy brushes ordered. :) Doors look none adjustable (not like the old days)... Of course I might be wrong, but if they're not then a couple of bolts and they should be off. Align paint/marks when replacing and bobs yer uncle. Not drinking, but I can highly recommend living life to the full...

Cleaning...
Just wondering what people do about this, if they care of course. Sorry if I use the wrong terms but I'll try to describe it. I want to clean the panel at the rear of the front wings, where the front door hinges are etc. I really can't fathom out how to get in there with anything other than a brush ...

Re: Camera Mounting
Now stop putting silly stickers on your car. 😂 But they're only silly to anyone misguided enough to believe there is such a thing as a stealth car. LOL. sneaky sneaky, he'll never notice, just a bit more, a little more, he'll never notice me, BAM... ha ha. Imagining that their target and other road...

Re: Camera Mounting
Many thanks. I do have a go pro and didn't know it would auto orientate, so that problems solved and for some reason I'd convinced myself the sunroof had a sort of black gauze on the inside of it which it doesn't, so that must have been a previous car. I have a whole array of suction mounts, some th...

Camera Mounting
I'd like to mount a camera inside in the RS6 so that it films out of the windscreen. I don't want it on the dash, but rather set back where a front seat head would be. Suction to the sunroof is a non starter as the glass isn't smooth on the inside and in any event I'd have to mount the camera upside...

Re: TCU Flash
I fully appreciate you had a bad experience, but again, you don't often find lying, bullshitting <beeps> running small very successful businesses (only countries and European parliaments it seems). There's no denying that JFA is hugely successful not only in the tuning they do themselves but in othe...

Bye Bye audi Warranty....if you still have one LOL, I waved goodbye to my warranty last year and have since waved again, many times :) Well, that would be if I had one. Life's too short to try and insure against everything. Sometimes you just have to take the risk... It's very exciting sometimes :)

Re: TCU Flash
I had my rs6 c6 engine and gearbox "mapped" by JFA on recommendation of 2 "guru" people on here who used him for the first 900+ cars in the UK. They had loads of problems and went to MRC to sort out, so.... I subsequently went to MRC, for stage 2 and gearbox map, who: a) said it was the worst engin...

No it isn't, it's reprogramming of the TCU to provide quicker shifts etc.FinlandRS6C7 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:30 pmYou can do that adaptation reset if you have ross-tech cable. This TCU flash what you call it is only transmission adaptation reset.![]()

TCU Flash
Just had the TCU flashed by JFA and I have to say it's certainly an improvement. Gear changes are much quicker and smoother in all modes including manual and whether taking it easy or pushing along. In fact at the moment, I'd say it's improving with every journey as the gearbox re-adapts etc. If any...

Re: Anyone fitted R8 buttons to the C7 wheel?
Thanks for the replies - It does seem a little step, I just think it'll helps make the RS6 feel that extra bit more special... but more than anything remove the annoying 'Car' > *twist* > *twist* > *Click* - everytime you want to switch from Comfort to dynamic. Dave, do you know if Ash would be abl...
