Hitchin Audi have resolved the problem with replacement tensioners. They threw in a new clutch (just kidding, but it cost just 1 1/2 hours labour to put a new one in whole they were resolving the tensioner problems).

ALL ON WARRANTY. Except the clutch.

Got the car back on Saturday. They told me they had performed a flash upgrade on the engine management that improved performance but also cured a know engine noise. Having been away for a few days in the car I am not suprised to say it hasn't cured the problem, although the car runs better and I ma...

It must be tracking. I curbed the front offside a couple of weeks ago on black ice and had been wondering about getting it checked. Will cost more in tyre wear if I don't get it sorted.

Thanks Simon!

My S4 B6 is coming to the end of it's 3 year warranty so it's time to take it into the dealer and get all the niggles sorted out. Scotty, the links you set up for the TSBs for the link idle pulley and others don't appear to work anymore. Does anyone have the file saved on their harddrive or a new lo...

RE: Re: SatNav Upgrade

I completed the job with the help of a guy with a VAGCOM. I upgraded directly to the RNS-E. It took us 10 minutes, with another 10 trying to work out how to recode the VAGCOM. The hardwear piece was very easy. A question of pulling out the old and plugging in the new with the loom adapter from Kufat...

RE: SatNav Upgrade

OK, so apparently it's quite easy, but dealers won't touch it. Two websites to help out: http://www.navplus.us/ for general installation and German website for all wiring looms etc. is http://shop.kufatec.de/index.php/cPath/47. Easy.

SatNav Upgrade

Has anyone ever considered, or attempted, upgrading the Symphony CD/Tape/Radio to SatNav? There are plenty of cheap SatNav units for sale on eBay, but my Audi dealer assures me it's a fitter's nightmare and not easily done. Cheaper to buy a car with it factory fitted. Any experience? Or should I sto...
