Re: One year on - still very happy
One year on and have actually now recently moved on, i did 12000 miles and it was my daily. A fantastic car with only very few minor irritations. 1) I had the same google earth issue for the sat nav 2) cycling through the modes to get to S Dynamic was a PITA each time you started too 3) Passenger se...

Re: S mode vs Dynamic
Yes, select D by pulling back into the D position, then do the same action again and it alternates into S, same again reverts to D. The difference between D & S? sit on the motorway at 70 and it will be in D8, pull back the gear selector into S and it will drop to S6 for the same road speed. If you ...

Re: Auto Start Stop?
Thanks, will do. I find that S is a bit juddery in S1 stopping at lights or start stop traffic at less than 5 mph. Only when creeping to a stop. Some places (tuners) advertising disable of start/stop function for c£100 but need to go back to enable it. It sounds like a proper recode. Will keep looki...

Auto Start Stop?
Is there any way you can permanently switch this off? The startup ritual of switching it off every time is getting a bit boring.
Still not seen another one on the road yet! Loads of RS3's though....

Re: Rs4 b9 issue
I experienced on the motorway today in moderate traffic at a constant 50-55 the HUD gear display dropping the number of the gear until I re-engaged the throttle, so for example the HUD was showing "D6" then it just went to "D". I looked down at the rev counter and the revs dropped to idle speed of c...

Re: Fuel type??
Thanks all, The splash and dash until I get to Tesco is what I will do. The GTR always got 99, not one drop of 95, but it involved a bit of planning which I found a slight pain in the @“&e. I thought the B9 would be easier. I filled up at a motorway service station yesterday after a long run and it ...

Views on these Vossen wheels
Currently sitting in the standard fit 10 spoke 19’s which are fine but saw these and they look absolutely wow. Is there an aftermarket for the 19’s and how much should I expect for them on almost new Hankooks. Including tyres and fitting the Vossen will be c.£2.5k which is alright for the changed lo...

Fuel type??
Hi, I have been putting in 99 or 98 super unleaded / momentum / v power etc.. but badly needed fuel after a long run and the only pumps working were the regular 95 unleaded. I am sure it’s ok to use 95 but I did wonder if you guys did an alternate fill up, stick religiously to super unleaded or does...

Tyres - what did yours come with
Some people saying Continental - mine came with Hankook ventus S1 Evo 2's. Feels really grippy and no complaints but why would there be different tyres?

Re: First 250 miles
I have done over 400 miles in it this weekend. I have Daytona Pearl grey with the 19" standard wheels, silver interior, main upgrades are privacy glass, sunroof, matrix lights, HUD, heated wheel, tech pack, and its hands down, no contest, undoubtedly the best car i have EVER owned. Its just getting ...

Thanks. PS my manual was in the glovebox together with a CD which was an an electronic manual that I have loaded into the MMI. Do you know I hadnt even opened the glovebox this whole time!! A little hint for reverse kerbside mirror
For those that dont read the manual (because in fact i didnt even get a manual...!) from someone that always leaves the electric mirror adjustment in the centre, or off, position. If you leave the silver knob over to the left mirror position the whole time, when engaging reverse gear the passenger s...

Re: Finally Collected & Brake Squeal
Brake squeal here also on standard brakes. Still bedding in the car but a bit frustrating. Seems to get worse in-town driving. Will try the 70-10 method. thanks
