From what I remember, the VSS goes from the sensor directly to the cluster, and then out to the ecu. Email me back. I pinned out the plenum harness for an 02 s6 a while back when I did my 2.7 swap and a lot of the basic stuff should carry over.

Yes. A6 glass is the same.

I’m going to go with something jammed in the torque converter/flex plate area. It is odd that the starter motor doesn’t make any noise though. I wouldn’t think so. I would imagine you could lower the subframe while while keeping the engine raised to allow access.

Been driving the car a lot more so it’s time to address this more seriously. Scanning the car while driving I noticed my maf readings are a bit different than each other but not by much.
