Re: Upgrading to a B9

Hello, I have a pre-facelift car. It has been mechanically sound up until now (bought new in 2018, currently at 25k miles). I have the standard (non-DRC) suspension. I've had a Milltek non-res cat-back exhaust on, which makes the car MUCH louder. I'm going to switch back to the standard exhaust soon...

Re: Milltek Non Res Questions

Hello, I've had mine fitted for a few years now and done >15k miles with it fitted. Cold start is pretty loud, but settles down after 15-20 seconds or thereabouts. Sometimes the car will cycle through valves open, closed, open, closed which is quite pronounced once this exhaust is fitted. As soon as...

Re: Cooling fans go wild.

Morning All, Just a note to say that my car has just had a faulty map-controlled thermostat replaced under warranty @ approx. 16k miles. We had the 'jet taking off' fan symptoms and arranged to get the car looked at (though no engine light). Once in the workshop the issue was confirmed and replaced ...

Re: 28k miles in, and still happy

I've had mine since new in early 2018. 16k miles in, and happy overall. Hoping to keep long term so long as it doesn't become a money pit! It's a top family wagon with a roof box on and have a set of 19" allows with winter tyres so going strong on the colder mornings! L1004511.JPG Cheers, J88 :nogar...

Re: Must have options on the B9 RS4

I don't have DRC and avoided it when speccing because of reliability concerns. I'm perfectly happy with the ride and live, work and do the majority of my driving on rural A, B and unclassified roads. The ride can sometimes get a bit 'jiggly' at lower speeds over certain surfaces, which the DRC would...

Re: RS6 20" Alloys

Mike has a set for sale above. Be careful. There is a flat narrower version for sale (these are the ones you tend to find on eBay). You want the wider concave ones. Don't know part number but Mike will. There rarely come up for sale but there are two sets on here at the moment. Sadly the RS6 tyres ...

Re: RS6 20" Alloys

Yes very happy with the fit fills the arches much better than the originals Dark anthracite gloss finish They look great. How are you enjoying the car? I had a blast down to Perth yesterday via Glenshee early doors. No cars and new surfaces in the soaking wet was absolutely brilliant - a bit of a e...

Re: Nogaro Blue - how much

Ooh sounds good, is that "just" Milltek? TX. Sent from my BBB100-2 using Tapatalk Yep, I went for non-res and the vid is in 'dynamic'. Really should take more vids, it sounds fairly apocalyptic in the woods & through tunnels - I like that our family estate can do that! Very sedate in comfort, the o...

Re: Nogaro Blue - how much

I think I paid £2,400 for Nog.

Love the colour, mystic blue was considered too, but went bold in the end!

Standout better in the snow...

Re: Audi pre sense and ACC

I find it will have a panic if a car is pulling into a filter lane to cross the motorway (and so technically undertaking it as it decelerates). I've had an instance where it has jammed on the brakes whilst over taking an HGV in rain. Other wise I find the system very good. I had more of those proble...

Re: All issues and niggles with the B9 RS4

Mine is from may 18th if I remember correctly. You've got a point with the interruptions. But damp headlights, these are also found on the regular A4, minus the spacer grills. Mine is from a few weeks earlier. Carbon cover aside, I've had no issues and the car feels like it is build like a tank. I ...

Re: Faulty engine covers

I'm still on the original one - the glue residue just about keeps it in place. It's my own fault really, as it is a completely ridiculous and expensive option to tick, just to sit right on top of the Hot V.

I think you'd need Space Shuttle levels of bonding to keep that thing together...

New wheels fitted!
Will run them this colour over winter and have a think.

Here’s before, after and then after after!
Looks brilliant - just like it should look from factory! What are your spacer sizes now?

Re: Noise?

Ok. How do you feel about the fit? The tail pipes aren’t cut at an angle to meet with the curve of the rear bumper or diffuser, so I’m curious to know how you feel it looks in the flesh. Fit is fine - ideally they would sit a touch more recessed into the bumper, but only by 5-10mm. It's quite simpl...
