8V RS3 to C5 RS6 Am i mad ?
Hi, so i currently own a 8V RS3 and am considering purchasing a C5 RS6. Why you may ask ? Well, other than being a daily driver, i want to be able to put my dog or my bike (which doesn't really fit in the RS3) in the car and not worry that I'm ruining a 30K car. I do about 6k miles a year not includ...

Hi, My car currently has scorpion secondary decat pipes and a scorpion non res cat back, now as I understand it the cat back comes with a valve, but there is pass through pipe available separately which I believe mine has. Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the pipe with the valve on it withou...

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
Yeah reg was SP06HMH. The car was a write off, after a lenghty back and forth with insurance managed to get back all my money minus the excess. Obviously my insurance prices have now risen by quite a bit too !

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
Only just been able to revisit this topic after all that happened. I ended up having to claim on my insurance, one of the worst things that has happened to me but you live and you learn. I will always be far more careful when buying now !

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
The assessor has said he can only advise on what he can see and try to determine the failure. The fact of the matter is the engine was removed and dismantled without asking my permission. This should of never have happened. Any assessment from now, in my opinion is biased as they have messed with th...

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
have had legal advice, after rejecting a car, there needs to be proof of the fault. An independent assessor therefore needs to inspect the car and report on what has happened in order for it to move further.

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
So they have refused my rejection but said if the idependent assessment shows it wasn’t me he will give me a full refund, instead of just going to court straight away if you see what I mean. I think because the engine is ruined and it’s going to cost a lot to fix they are going to be difficult, if i...

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
Based in Bournemouth. The independent assessment has to happen to move forward. I called Audi they can look at it but not for 2 weeks and I need to get it there too but the car is dead. Even if I did that I don’t think they carry out independent assessments, however if you know otherwise please let ...

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
i couldn't agree more, wish i had paid by credit card so i could do a charge back. the claim is i have damaged the car in my ownership and they are in no way liable. He has compared it to driving into a lamp post ! If this does go to court i have plenty of evidence and also now have plenty of opinion...

Re: A nightmare after one day of ownership
had legal advice, as im rejecting the car and the dealer is refusing my rejection an independent assessment needs to carried out. The garage are unsurprisingly standing by their work and we are just butting heads
