Thanks for the replies guys. It's not something I'm concerned about. Just thought I would ask the question bearing in mind I hadn't heard about it before. Seems like the facts aren't strictly correct on honest john then.

I have just read that Audi recommend that the timing chain is replaced between 50 and 100k miles at a cost of £6k (main dealer prices)

Can anybody verify this or have any experience of having it changed and how much please?
