Re: No drive/no codes

Does the input speed read 0rpm in P/N? Or is it the same as the engine RPM? If so, does it drop to 0rpm when you engage D/R?

Or is there no input speed whatsoever? If this is the case I'd imagine input shaft failure

Range sensor fault is the F125 switch. And yeah, the torque converter code is mechanical failure

Hi Craig. The unlimited vin cable I sold was registered with Ross tech and support was provided by Ross tech. I bought the cable from chunky79. I am sure he would not of bought a clone. Like me he was very fussy with his car and tools. Technic. Good info mate Many thanks. Hi Steve Don’t want to get...

Re: Suction noise after transmission fluid/filter service

Update: Well, this is going to sound pretty dumb, but the suction noise I was hearing was the front hubs spinning. Since I had the front end off for the timing belt/ chains and tensioner pads job, I never put the front wheels (or bolts back on). Even though I had my foot on the brake pedal, it wasn...

Re: £20k UK car

Definitely trending in the right direction! I have a couple with lower mileage that I'm hanging onto. Tend to only see this money in the Euro markets with LHD cars. Perhaps this will mean it will start being more cost effective to repair these cars, and we won't see as many go to the great scrapyard...

Re: Sad day…

Are you going to convert it to manual? I ask as soo much of the block was ground away I doubt the standard starter will fit. Also the block had cracked and has been welded up by Vamspares. He told me the engine was scrap. Yes, will be converted to manual! 0A3 Plan on doing a very high-power build, ...

Re: RS6 C8 2021 Gearbox oil change and sport dyff

Hey Adi, Please see the attached with the part numbers for various oils for the 8HP. #2 in your picture is Lifeguard 8 #4 is viscous coupling. Very expensive oil ~£130+VAT per litre. ETKA lists that the front diff on the gearbox is the same oil as the viscous coupling. But I'm certain it's a good qu...

Could the sump be deformed?
Sumps are quite thin on these so could be possible! When you remove the gearbox/engine, ZF recommend you don't rest the gearbox on its sump due to filters being cracked from the weight

Re: Suction noise after transmission fluid/filter service

There's quite a few different size filters for the 5HP24A; 22mm, 26mm and 32mm. Make sure you get the correct one! The genuine Audi/ZF filter for the RS6 is 22mm and the part number is 01L 325 429 B (Audi) or 1058.298.049 (ZF). Automatic Choice in Bristol is the best supplier for these. Their part n...

Re: Current C5 RS6 residual values

I've been stocking up on C5s in various conditions. I do feel they'll go the way of the B5 RS4 or the RS2. As genuine parts are becoming obsolete, more and more are being broken/scrapped or left to rot, which means road-worthy vehicles will become more desirable. The problem with the C5 has always b...
