Re: P0492 - Secondary Air Injection System
So Audi had a look, did the full vacuum line check with the smoke machine and also tested the pump which was all ok. They recommended I changed the relay so hopefully that sorts it!

Re: P0492 - Secondary Air Injection System
I had a quick look at the hoses I could see and it all looked ok. The rear vacuum hoses were also plugged up with screws so it must be something I can't see, maybe at the front as Gary has suggested... or the pump its self. Either way I couldn't be bothered to mess with it so it's at Audi now, they ...

Re: P0492 - Secondary Air Injection System
Cheers Gary, did you have to remove anything to access the rear as from memory the engine goes right to the firewall!

P0492 - Secondary Air Injection System
Hi all, I got the above code about 500 miles ago (and a pending P0491) but now it came back quicker than before with just the P0492 so I think i'll have to look into it... :( I've done a few searches and it looks like the most common cause is a vacuum leak. I've had my exhausts flap hoses disconnect...

Re: Shall I take my RS4 to the Alps
Covkiller - are the nav directions standard on the dash like that with the RSN-e? Looks cool.
Good to see an RS being used the way it should be.

Re: Gear knob insert
The finish, there are still some marks on the insert that weren't properly sanded out. The colour looks fine but there's nothing else silver in the interior to compare it against really. I got it done the same colour as my wheel refurbish (Oem). The semi perforated leather refurb is spot on. That wa...

Re: Gear knob insert
Heres what the leather bit looks like when you remove the two screws. There's a service on ebay that restores these for £30 with semi perforated leather!

Re: Gear knob insert
Got bored of waiting so I took a flat head screw driver to it and prised it off. Needed a bit of force so I put some cloth under it so I didn't damage the leather (needs refurbishing anyway). Looks like the gear knob can be easily taken off this way too with the two screws as shown below. I'm gettin...

Re: Exhaust shop has removed the main cats instead of the pre-cats!!
Haha he did say it would be a pain to redo it but was happy to if I wanted. Might do it at a later date maybe. They are putting it on the hoist at the weekend to check the wiring. Let's see what it looks like!
