Squeaky brakes

Hi everyone, I'm sure that this is a topic that goes round and round on a constant loop on all car forums but just after people's opinions. I hate my brakes. I sound like an old London Routemaster bus when I pull up at lights or a zebra crossing. I've tried all the old tricks including taking it out...

Re: Tyres for RS6

21s look better but that's it. They cost more and have far fewer options for tyres. The Sport Contact 6 is supposed to be a very good tyre. Also worth considering is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S which is available for the 20s and not the 21s and meant to be slightly better than the Continental altho...

Thanks for comments. Am I one of the few saddos still to have 20" rather than 21"

How much better are the 21"s from a cost benefit point of view?
Nothing sad about us Mike ;)
Oh good, at least I'm not on my own :D

"CONTINENTAL 275 35 R20 102Y CONTINENTAL SPORTCONTACT"

Are those you quote the ContiSilent version and is your car a post facelift version with the double glazing/sound insulation?
Mine is a 2015 and I don't know about the ContiSilent, just the spec I posted. Cheers

@ £700 for 4 fitted - its a no brainer - I paid £660 for 2 Michelins SPSS
Thanks, that's what I thought. Unless I get told they're a <beep> tyre stay away I'll probably go with them. Just interested in a handful of views.

Tyres for RS6

Looking for some very simple opinions on tyres, nothing long winded - just a yes or a no.

CONTINENTAL 275 35 R20 102Y CONTINENTAL SPORTCONTACT 6

May not be the greatest tyre for the RS6 but can get a good deal on these £700 for 4 fitted. Would you?

EPC and Engine Management light

Went out for a drive this morning and got less than a mile when the RS6 started to judder. Was going about 30mph. Noticed the EPC light was on and I thought it may have been a coil pack/injector problem as I had something similar on my old V10 S6. When I needed to slow down to say 10-20mph the judde...

Surely that price is to supply and fit? Even then it's not that cheap.
Supply and fit a Milltek non-resonated cat back exhaust system to an RS6 for £170? Jesus I thought that I needed help!!

Oops I could have sworn that said £1700 yesterday!
That makes more sense.

if it helps.....I paid £110 for removal (obviously) of my OEM Sports and fitment of my Non Res Cat Back Milltek from the lads at ADS automotive, Preston.
Thanks for that. That sounds very reasonable.

Re: Can any exhaust 'installer' install a Milltek

Easy enough job. Did mine myself took about 3 hours. Just make sure they don't try the "oh we need to lower the subframe" one. No need to touch anything. One nut per side is tricky to get at but far from impossible Got quoted £170 by a 'reputable' exhaust/tyre centre. Tbh, if it's just bolting I'm ...

Thanks but struggling with the 'easy enough' and '3 hours' in the same sentence!
