Re: Insurance renewal
Because when the car is on the drive the thief knows which house to break into, whereas if it's on the street it's not necessarily outside your house. Why would they need to break into a house to steal a vehicle that a professional can boost in 2 minutes flat with a laptop? I don't make the rules. ...

Re: Insurance renewal
I'm with Tesco and paid £585. Funnily enough, it cost me £40 more to be 'parked on a drive' as opposed to 'parked on a street'! How the hell do you work that out?? Tesco came in at over £2500 through the comparison sites! A lot of it depends of the area you live. If there are no claims involving RS...

Can also be even more expensive if parked in a garage. As above, the thieving scum know who owns the car but if garaged they 'may' have...

Re: Anyone used AMD Tuning?
I had the remap June 16 and had absolutely no issues with their software. After care excellent. Mines not a PE model, so now 700bhp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks. That's good to hear. This is exactly what I was looking for, an RS6 owner that's had the remap etc as is happy with it. That...

I'd imagine a right pain in the arse with axle stands! Definitely a ramp job by the sounds of it.

Re: Can any exhaust 'installer' install a Milltek
Surely that price is to supply and fit? Even then it's not that cheap. Supply and fit a Milltek non-resonated cat back exhaust system to an RS6 for £170? Jesus I thought that I needed help!! Oops I could have sworn that said £1700 yesterday! Haha, I thought that's what you'd have thought!

Re: Car security /tracker
Agreed. It's an Audi. It's not mega rare, mega expensive or irreplaceable. Not worth risk to family or property. These cars are stolen for crime by criminals. They aren't arsed about a bollard or a tracker. If they want/need, they will have. Disagree completely. Of course they're bothered about a b...

Re: Car security /tracker
Best thing to do is to put some very small switch conected to relays which will cut power to fuel pump. And you can find very very good hidden places in car for this. So when ever you park your car, you switch off and you are safe 100% that nobody cant drive away with your car. Only possible soluti...

Re: Car security /tracker
In fact, if they drove up in a JCB, they could pull the bastard out. I'm pretty sure that a JCB would fit up my drive as well, dammit. I'd better dig a damn and erect a drawbridge and hire ex-SAS bodyguards just in case they get through that.

Re: Car security /tracker
What bollards are those? Where did you get them mate ? Machine Mart. They do loads of different ones. I found it cheapest on eBay and it cost £130 not £140 as I thought. It's a proper piece of kit, 100x100mm steel, heavy as you like. When that's concreted in, it's not going anywhere. http://www.eba...

Re: Car security /tracker
But..... Hopefully they will see it as a chew and move in to an "easier" steal. You can only try and deter. Exactly. It cost me £140 and about 3-4 hours of work. Professional thieves can often locate and remove trackers on cars within a very short space of time. Trackers are great and personally I'...

Re: Car security /tracker
Yes, but if they want it, they'll wave a weapon at you and you'll unlock it! It's partial deterrent but nothing more. Of course I'll unlock if they pull out a machete or a sub-machine gun. However, this will deter the vast majority of thieves, most of them fortunately just want the car without goin...
