Re: Failed DRC
Thanks for the replies chaps :-) I think I'll rip the DRC off (although I will mourn it's loss :-( ) and replace with coilovers. It's just unsustainable and unfeasible to have to drive hundreds of miles any time there's a problem with the hydraulics... it's a 10 year old car and I have to consider t...

Failed DRC
Hi All, Well, another statistic to add to the failed DRC pile... The flexi hose that feeds the hydraulic fluid into the rear O/S shock has been leaking and now I'm getting a clunk from the N/S front corner. I can replace the components myself but don't have the equipment to refill the system with hy...

Re: Clunking noise
Before you start replacing parts (..which can be an expensive task!) have you tried to figure out the source of the noise? Mine started doing the same, it's my DRC that's failed. O/S rear flexi tube that supplies the shock with fluid has failed, leaked out the fluid over time and as a result I get a...

Re: The coolant pipes
That's great! Thanks chaps. Will get working on replacing them sometime very soon. Car doesn't get driven all that much so I'm lucky for now that I can leave it parked up.
I've got a mechanical inspection pit, does access from underneath help or is it all replacement from wheel side and top?

What are these pipes??
Hi all,
Was fitting my wheel spacers today and had the driver's side wheel off (UK). Noticed these pipes under the wheel arch, close to the bulkhead. Look pretty rotten. Any ideas what they are??

Re: MMI Telephone Connectivity
Had a search through the Telephone menu on the MMI, and found there is an option called 'Pin for Handsfree' (or words to that effect) in which you can change the pin. This mode allows the phone to connect to the MMI as a handsfree only which is what I wanted . In my case, the pin was a simple 1234 a...

MMI Telephone Connectivity
Hi All, Have tried to find an answer - naada! Hoping someone knows. Can we switch the RSAP/SAP (remote sim access protocol) off when connecting to the phone? I've got an Android. When it connects to my phone, the SIM becomes 'unavailable' in the phone and instead, available on the MMI. That's not wh...

Re: Replacement brake discs
Hi all, New to the forum but was wondering the same thing about discs so thought I'd jump in here.. I've noticed that the 2013 RS6 (C7?) has got 'wavy' discs. These are about £700 off eBay, anyone know if they fit or if they are any good? EDIT: Never mind.. found the answer here: https://www.tapatal...
