Re: West London Hand Car Washes

It was covered before but it was a while ago and there were not really any answers so thought I would reach out and see if any one had discovered anywhere...

West London Hand Car Washes

Does any one know of any Hand Car Washes in West/Central London that will do a great job and not murder the paintwork. I have tried Posh Wash a couple of times in Mayfair but get mixed results, I don't think it does them any favours having to clean cars in a basement car park! I have no real way to ...

Re: Cause for concern?

That is interesting feedback. Thanks. Car has just been at Fontain this morning as one of the Adaptive Headlights has failed! Yawn... But any way they said there was new gearbox software available again. It got updated in June but this is an even newer one. I have to say the car already feels a lot ...

Re: Cause for concern?

Well on Saturday I fired up the RS4 and immediately the warning message came up. The car then just cut out. I restarted, it did some rev hunting and then cut out again. Fired up for a third time, no problem and off I went on my merry way. Super strange, I wish I could get it sorted because there is ...

Re: Cause for concern?

I am afraid to say I never did get to the bottom of it. It just went away! Fontain could never find anything on diagnostics and it never happened to them when they had it. It hadn't done it for about 2 months but then after a day of no use last week when I next jumped in it, up the warning light cam...

Re: Creaking Sunroof

So I got some of this from Amazon:

SONAX 03400000 Rubber Care

It hasn't really made any difference. There seemed to be lots of gunky paste in the tracks. I wonder if that was someone lubricating it beforehand and now it has dried up.

Re: Creaking Sunroof

I am not sure, it almost sounds like a knocking noise as opposed to a rubber noise if that makes sense?

Creaking Sunroof

Hi all, I have had my RS4 for a couple of months now and either I have never noticed it before or it has become loose, now when I go over lumps and bumps in the road I get lots of noise coming from the sunroof where I think it is moving around. Is there a way of tightening it at all? Is it possible ...

Re: Parcel Shelf Roller thingy

The bits which look beaten up seem to be marked as part 52 on that diagram. Thank you. I will head to my local dealer and see what can be done!

Re: Parcel Shelf Roller thingy

I think it is the end of the runners that are damaged, they look pretty beaten up. Does anyone know if just those can be replaced?

Parcel Shelf Roller thingy

Hi all, Since picking up my RS4 a month or so ago I have been getting increasing frustrated with the fabric parcel shelf roller. It looks as if it has been quite well worn as the bits which lock in are a little bit battered. It holds in place, but if I hit a speed bump a little too quickly or anythi...

Re: Protection Film

Hi Sammy,

Thanks for the feedback. I am in Brentford. To be fair from the quote that I have received from Elite I won't be doing it. They have quoted £895 + VAT and want the car for 3 days. I have had better quotes. Thank you for the link, I will check it out. Who do you use?

Re: Recovery service

I was looking for myself and Green Flag look by far the best in terms of what is included and they are definitely the best value for money. I don't know how good they are though and hopefully I don't have to find out!

Re: Protection Film

It was a normal hand wash I am afraid. I usually get it done at Posh Wash in London where they do it properly but it was filthy and I didn't have a chance to get to town. Living in London with no hose access or anything it is very difficult to do yourself. I have emailed the guys http://www.elitedet...

Protection Film

I recently picked up an B8 RS4 and whilst having it cleaned today I noticed as I walked back over that the windscreen looked filthy and as if it had loads of tiny chips in it. Upon closer inspection it has some sort of protection film on it, which is looking horrible but has obviously done an amazin...
