Could be that it was mapped, that’s been taken off but the sports cats remain so OE map won’t optimise. Could be high pressure fuel pumps, could be carbon build up, could be injector spray pattern, could be plugs aren’t gapped properly for the aftermarket map that’s on it, or as you say it needs 99 ...

They only cost about £80-100 to have them fully stripped and zinc powder coated for the pair.

I had a coolant leak as well, only when car was cold. Small hole in one of the hoses, the heat expanded the pipe sealing the hole but when cold it was leaking. Pressure test was OK, my mechanic only noticed a hissing noise and located it.
