The garage that failed the MOT are well known with VAG cars however I think seeing as my RS6 has obviously been tinkered with they don't want to know. Plus the MOT tester was very by the book. Cheers mate that could be an option. I think I really need to think about investing in vcds! Lost around £150 so far at the “specialist” £45 for MOT and £96 for diagnostics…

Thanks for all your input guys. Car is booked in on 11th December at independent specialist to hopefully resolve these issues. I’ll keep you posted…. Any news? The independent specialist ran diagnostics and basically no output from any lambda sensor....so they suggested I take the car to a Revo dea...

Thanks for input, ok think we are getting warmer….car does sound like a jet when starting up and it’s the SAI making all the noise for a minute or so when started from cold. No fault codes showing though but could this be the culprit causing dodgy emissions?

Thanks for quick reply. Unsure if he tried both sides and yes cats are still fitted to car. Was only a 15 minute drive to garage so maybe not fully heated up? Oil temp was sitting at around 80ish on gauge

Just had MOT this morning and failed on emissions as shown. CO readings sky high and lambda readings low. Car runs spot on with no error codes/dash lights. Only had car for around 6mths and at last MOT had quite a bit of work to pass MOT including new lambda sensors as it actually failed on the same...

Yeah very true as you say I think people buy these then realise it’s not a daily use car! The Cat D bit is a bit off putting but it was way back in 2014.

I don’t think a Cat D needs to be listed on V5 so maybe previous owners have then realised after buying, panicked and sold car on…..

Just wondering if anyone knows or maybe owned this car previously. A guy local to me is maybe selling up. Car was written off in 2014 Cat D (unsure what happened) oh and has 13 previous owners!
Private plates previously were AR03 BAT and R26 GTA.

Any info appreciated.
