Intermittent Brake warning light after new pads
Hi gents. Does anyone have any idea why I would be getting the brake warning light come on (only on start up or initial checks, meaning, if it doesn't happen on start up, it doesn't happen at all) after putting brand new Front pads on the car? This only happens occasionally and I don't know which si...

Re: RS4 B7 - Rear Discs and pads
Thanks guys,
Kinetix don't seem to advertise for the B7 RS4.
So nobody knows of any VW (family) brakes that fit? It's difficult to know who to trust when buying from eBay!

Re: RS4 B7 - Rear Discs and pads
Does anyone know of a cheaper brake set for the rears? What I mean is, I have VW Phaeton Brakes on the front and they work perfectly. Now it's time to replace the rear discs and pads, so is there an effective retro fit (like the phaeton fronts) that works well on the rears and avoids RS tax? I don't...

Rear Windscreen wiper upright
Hi Peoples, Has anyone got a clue about this? - B7 RS4 Avant with the below problem. While using my rear wiper it will eventually get bored and stop in the upright position. Nothing can be done about it until I stop, park for a while, then go back to the car, turn the ignition on and it returns to i...

Here it is the beauty.
It's such a good feeling to have it all working properly again.

Re: Has anybody found the real cure?
And finally...Problem Solved! My car is a pleasure to drive again after months of trying to discover the real cause behind this common problem. It wasn't cheap but I reckon it could have been worse. Work done included - "Remove Gearbox - Inspect the clutch friction plate, confirm friction lining wor...

Re: Has anybody found the real cure?
I have an update after having just inspected my car up on the lift with no gear box in it. There are a few things that we think may be causing the sticky clutch issue. 1. The guide sleeve is not moving freely and does actually have a slight friction feeling at one point about half way along its move...

Re: Has anybody found the real cure?
Good luck to you worldrider. Let us know how it goes. I have mine booked in for a diagnosis and replacement of required parts next week. I will report all findings. I am having stock stuff put in as I'll probably have a new car before my car hits another 70,000miles and lets be fair, the stock stuff...

Re: Has anybody found the real cure?
Guys, I just found this on YouTube. It may be of interest to anyone who knows what a correctly functioning pressure plate does in comparison. Does anyone know what the guys means by "SAC" of the pressure plate? Otherwise he is describing and fixing exactly the problem we seem to have! https://www.yo...

Re: Has anybody found the real cure?
Covkiller, you are the only person who has given any hint of knowing what this issue is and I am very grateful for that. I will pass on you comments to my mechanic who will do the work when the time comes. Just one question...Is it normal to have this problem when the clutch is worn out but there is...
