Re: Tyre Options 21’s... Not many..

I just put MPSS on all round (based on positive reviews on this forum) and impressed by them. Sourced via Black Circles a few months without fitting. Local small garage that I know and trust charged £30 per tyre fitting which I felt was fair enough given I did not give them the tyre revenue.

I see - glad I am not unusual. Of course how one drives it may also have a part to play!

Re: A series of Faults just appeared, look familiar?

funnily enough it just popped up a message saying the oil change was due in 21 days (13500 miles on the clock, C7 FL). is this abnormal?

Re: A series of Faults just appeared, look familiar?

I had something very similar a few months back when driving in "old man mode" at 70 in cruise control. It started with a "sports differential fault", the it must have thrown up 7-8 "failures" including adaptive headlights and parking brake failure. It still drove fine, but I stopped as soon as pract...

Positive Experiences of RS6 Ownership

Hello All – after seeing quite a few negative (and downright scary) stories of RS6 ownership, I thought I’d start a post about *positive* experiences. I’m not talking about our experiences as drivers of these fine machines, but happy or funny experiences, encounters & reactions from others. I’ll kic...

Re: Braking- A Weird One

Not alone. I have experienced something similar also. C7 FL with none of the assistance packs other than Pre-Sense Basic Networking. It's very occasional but on application of very gentle braking force, the brake response is very strong ....not full-on, but a lot more than the control input demanded...

Re: Replacement Horn

Haha classic. I could have done with that this morning when this wannabe in a Fiesta ST pulled a stupid overtaking maneuver coming the other way and caused me to slam on the brakes :x

Re: Wait over, RS6 is home..

NP. I am 99% sure the WiFi is off when the ignition is off, but one of the real experts on here may want to confirm. It should not take long to test it out though.

Replacement Horn

Has anyone upgraded the horn on their RS6? I have had occasion to use the horn a few times of late and it's pretty weak. Analogous to a Rottweiler with the bark of a Chihuahua. If so any recommendations on where to source and how easy it is to fit (C7 FL car). thanks !

Re: Wait over, RS6 is home..

Congrats - looks stunning and nice colour too. Cleaning I find does become a regular chore, but then I chose White and live in a rural area, so I guess I had it coming. With regards the SIM card, I buy EE data SIM's from Amazon. I think the one I have is 6 months validity and gives 2GB per month whi...

Re: RS6 real world range

My record was a 420-mile round trip from Devon to Heathrow and back (after dropping 80kg of passenger/luggage off at LHR) via M5-M4-M25. This equated to 31mpg getting home with about 10 litres left in the tank (assuming the tank is 75L which I believe the FL model is). This was driving 60-70mph in c...

Re: Best VCDS tweaks resource?

I was directed to the following link and had a bit of a play before I had to return the cable to a friend who lent it to me. I got 16b working. Hope this helps.

Re: Cigar Lighter Power Question

On my C7 (FL), the cigarette lighter socket in the center armrest has no power unless the ignition is on. I have a combined dashcam/speed trap detector wired into it (an Aguri Fusion GTX100) and I know the above to be true as the unit only comes to life on firing up the ignition. It also goes off im...

Re: C7 cover

no problem. I will answer you question in full when I am back next week and take it out of hibernation. I have not been trickle charging it. My Brother has kindly been turning it over a few times during this period and he says it seems just fine each time. The only preparations I did was to ensure t...
