Re: Yet another gearbox thread

Hello guys, I'm back with some news !!!

I fixed the abs problem, it was the electronic part of it. I managed to code it, and everything works fine on that side.

I still have the shifting problem though ...

I have yet to change oil on the gearbox to see what good (or bad) it does...

Re: Yet another gearbox thread

The procedure you gave is not to remove the send g22, but rather to remove the housing of the sender ... Renewing drive wheel for speedometer sender -G22- After playing arround in elsa, they say that prior to removing this housing, I should drain 0.5 litres from the diff to avoid that the diff oil a...

Re: Yet another gearbox thread

@ Shopinit : the cover that you can remove is on the opposite side of the sensor ... @ simonpoulton : yeah, I can't remove the turbo as the engine is still in the car ... The only solution I think is viable is to turn the driveshaft "flange" anti clockwise to be able to get this sensor out ... The o...

Re: Yet another gearbox thread

Hello guys, I might have found a solution : Is it possible to remove the bolts that hold this part (the one that the VSS goes into and is out on the second picture) and turn it a bit ? http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv264/performanceghia/IMAG0355.jpg http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv264/perf...

Re: Yet another gearbox thread

Hello guys, I'm back with some news ... I just received the sensors that are faulty ... Today, I tried to replace the vehicle speed sensor, but it was a fail !!! It wouldn't come out !!! Turbo was on the way. Does anyone know how to take it out ? On elsa, they make it seem like it's easy, but I thin...

Re: Yet another gearbox thread

Hello, guys, I'm in the process of ordering parts for the geaborx service. Does anyone know which parts should be replaced on the valve body when opened to be checked ? I've seen on some posts, that ZF dortmund, changes the marbles inside the valve body and other parts depending on how used they are...

Re: Yet another gearbox thread

Has anyone done a howto on identifying the correct filter unambiguously? I've not seen one. Bad mixture and bad speed information will confuse the gearbox. Sort out those first, then do an ATF and filter change and hope that the filter that is in there is the wrong one that is causing the gearbox t...

Yet another gearbox thread

Hello guys, as you might know, I recently bought an Audi RS6. The car has a gearbox problem that's not very common I think. I found this thread in which the owner (sheffielder)had similar symptoms. http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=107180&start=0 But he didn't explain what fixed it, except ...

Re: RS6 C5 Gearbox oil choices

All right, so if I understood correctly, as long as it's fully synthetic, it's good to use right ?

Thank you.
