Front wideband Lambda Sensors
Has anyone used Bosch aftermarket 6 pin lambda sensors with good success? I watched something recently on YouTube where aftermarket NGK and Bosch sensors did not work, so they had to fit genuine parts. From my sensor I read: Audi Part Number: 079 906 262 A (6 pin / brown plug / Cylinders 5-8) Bosch ...

Re: Jerky at low rpm / small throttle angles and down on power
How much filter oil did you apply after cleaning the air filter?
If its too much, maybe its passing by the MAF and distorting the readings? You could briefly run without a filter to check, but obviously you need to take care that no dust or debris passes in to the inlet manifold while idling.

Re: Jerky at low rpm / small throttle angles and down on power
is it worthwhile trying a throttle reset? https://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?t=124222 Mike This made a big difference on drivability for me. I did the throttle body alignment procedure first with VCDS ( http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Body_Alignment_(TBA) ), and this helped a l...

Re: Partition / Tumble Plate
Small update on the hesitation I had @ low RPM after i did the carbon clean and removed the tumble flaps. Because it was bothering me so much, i started to look into other things that might also cause it. I can imagine that if my DMF + Clutch is still the original unit (~148,000km), and the engine w...

Re: Partition / Tumble Plate
From memory there is a kit to replace the nasty plastic arms on the spindles with metal ones. My local indy was telling me about it recently when I was asking about a decoke. Contact details for the indy are on http://www.audivwsc.co.uk , speak to Peter, he's really helpful. I was watching a video ...

Re: Partition / Tumble Plate
I thought with the way people are so passionate about if you should "de-flap" or keep the tumble flaps in, I expected at least one response! :-) Is everyone using Facebook groups/forums instead now, or is this still the best place for info? I will elaborate a bit on my reasoning to leave the partiti...

Partition / Tumble Plate
A question for the DIY'ers out there:
For those of you that have removed the flaps in the inlet manifold, did you then also remove the Partition plate (079 103 411 P)?

Re: BILSTEIN B8 Dampers
I am not sure what springs came with mine originally. Can I see somewhere on the Chassis coding sticker? Do you ( or anyone else on here) know what the colour code is on the springs for Standard and SS+ springs? I have conflicting info on this. I can find some info that says for SS+: Front: 1 mark/O...

Re: BILSTEIN B8 Dampers
further to above i have just ordered a set a little more involved for me i suspect as my car is on coilovers and as such is probably missing some parts required to convert back to shock/spring set up I would be interested to see how you get on. I have sent an email to Bilstein here in Germany, but ...

Re: BILSTEIN B8 Dampers
i am in the exact same "boat" my car is just a bit too low for me on cheapie coilovers i looked at the b8 -the only thing putting me off them is the very thin looking front damper rod other than that these would fit the bill for me with standard rs4 springs I'm not so worried about that...Bilstein ...

BILSTEIN B8 Dampers
Has anyone on here got any experience with the Bilstein B8 Damper? https://www2.bilstein.com/en/product/bilstein-b8/ When I bought my RS4 here in Germany, it was already fitted with a H&R coilover kit, so I dont have any experience with the original DRC suspension. It was set too low, so after remov...

Re: Audi RS4 19" Genuine Wheels
I have some pictures of a set with winter tyres that i bought recently (attached). I have 8E0 601 025 AG and 8E0 601 025 BE, but what I found while I was searching for my winter set was that only the standard 19" x 9" 7-double spoke rim has an offset of 29 (ET 29). Most copies, or rims from the stan...

Re: Hello from a new RS4 B7 Owner in Germany
Thanks Guys No major plans for more modifications for the moment. The first thing I have done is pick up some winter tyres and rims. It's the law here from November until April, (and they do love their rules) I went for the standard 19-inch double seven-spoke alloys in silver, but they came off an A...

Hello from a new RS4 B7 Owner in Germany
Hello I recently purchased a late '06 B7 RS4 here in Germany in Daytona Grey, Black Optics Pack, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Flat Bottom Steering Wheel, Bucket Seat and Titanium Wheels. The previous owner really took care of it, and has already removed the DRC Suspension, and fitted H&R coilovers, adjust...
