I have noted all opinions and I can see that I am considered in the wrong. I do appreciate the comments though. This topic is now closed!

Re: Update on JKM Portsmouth's refusal to honour previous wo
I disagree with most of you! But I'm glad I raised the debate as I'm interested in the replies. Businesses have to stand by their services. I have found out that the previous owner didn't like the ride but I didn't know it at the time, clearly. There is no difference here between a dealer installing...

Re: Update on JKM Portsmouth's refusal to honour previous wo
It is a warranty issue as the setup is not fit for purpose. No competent garage should have let such a badly riding set up out of the door. The previous owner had it for 8 years and sold it within a few months of getting the suspension changed because he couldn't live with the ride either. Simples.

Re: Beware of JKM in Portsmouth
Interesting debate! I come from a school where there is still some trust left between customers and service providers. If I say I haven't touched the car then I haven't. By way of illustration, I have specialist garages I've been dealing with for over 20 years on some of my cars. We agree the cost, ...

Re: Beware of JKM in Portsmouth
There is certainly personal "taste", but it has boundaries. Why set up a car which bounces, fidgets and has lost all of the pitch protection Audi designed in? The car was simply badly set up by JKM, who clearly didn't care about the ride. It was not a professional job and that's what I'm concerned b...

Re: Beware of JKM in Portsmouth
By your logic, no work paid for by a previous owner would ever be warrantied. Why is JKM's work any different to a dealer fitting a replacement part which then fails? My case remains: JKM were incompetent. If they had any pride in actually building cars which work, instead of fitting boy-racer parts...

Re: Beware of JKM in Portsmouth
Many thanks for the rec which I will try. To put the guarantee in perspective, you wouldn't accept it if an Audi dealer fitted replacement DRC which failed within 12 months, so I don't accept that other suspension is any different

Re: Beware of JKM in Portsmouth
My dissatisfaction is (i) that JKM were incompetent in setting them up and (ii) that despite paying proper money for supposedly good kits from a supposedly good garage, it turns out that both JKM's and H&R's "warranty" is useless. I would have been happy JKM offered to inspect and adjust for free. T...

Update on JKM Portsmouth's refusal to honour previous work
Following my post on 23 Dec 2015, I received the answer below from JKM today. Very disappointing from a supposedly reputable garage which charged £2000 less than 12 months ago to fit H&R coilovers. They are now walking away from any constructive solution by using pathetic excuses. RS4s are not cheap...

Answer just received from JKM today below. Very disappointing from a garage which charged £2000 less than 12 months ago to fit H&R coilovers. They are now walking away from any constructive solution by using pathetic excuses. RS4s are not cheap bangers and all I can do is to warn people to beware of...

Re: Handsfree and bluetooth for B7 RS4
Thanks - have you used a particular supplier and fitter? I've looked at the head unit and it doesn't look easy to remove without damaging the console

Thanks for your reply. I don't have the RNS-E - I have 6CD Bose Symphony CD head. Does anyone have a solution for my original questions please?

Handsfree and bluetooth for B7 RS4
Hello. I have a B7 RS4 with Bose Symphony system. Is there a way to (i) get it to pair with a modern phone to use the system handsfree? (ii) source music from an iPhone or digital device?
Many thanks in advance. S
