Re: RS4 avant vs 996 C4S
I came from a 996 C4S and don't miss it if I'm honest. Yes the sound is very nice and distinctive from the flat 6 and PSE the overall drive is disappointing when compared to the RS. Personally in comparison the RS is better made, faster, rarer and gains more attention than the c4s. I would think ver...

EPC Light on
Hi, After a 50 mile journey last night my EPC light decided to come on and restrict the power output. This included the Engine Management light I pulled over and switches off the ignition and then restarted but still there. Went down this morning and started the old girl and the EPC has gone off but...

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
After posting up on here how good the AP discs are I have to report that they have warped after only 3,000 miles. Currently speaking to AP about getting them replaced, not great considering A- the costs and B - The so called motorsport materials used. All run in carefully for 600+ miles and never tr...

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
Guys I have to say if you are expecting a premium product beware....I have had mine AP Racing discs fitted for around 10 weeks in that time its covered around 4K in 85% motorway miles. I ran them in slowly and avoided heavy breaking and made sure I clocked a good 1000 miles before braking hard. But ...

Re: Clutch problems
it would be cheaper to have it all done in one go than have slave / master cylinder done then go back at a later date to have a new clutch plate and flywheel Exactly. Fortunately in my case, my shop didn't charge me for the master/slave cylinder work. I don't suppose you can remember how much the n...

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
Be aware I went for the AP racing discs and EBC yellow stuff pads as I didn't want OEM and hoped they wouldn't warp like OEM.....bit disappointed I've yet to take it up with the supplier but my feel like they are slightly warped now....drove with care for 800-1000 miles, and then driven as normal wi...

Re: Anyone else think they will never sell
wow...and I thought there would be more people proposing to sell! I share many of the above posts. I'm new to RS4 ownership and already spent £4K+ improving and tidying things up and I rekon I've got to put another £3.5K in over the next 12 months to make it what I want it to be.....to me worth ever...

Re: Air bag warning after retrim!
Hi Mike...lets put it this way I bought some wrap had a go and I now understand why my good lady does the Christmas presents! So I've decided to get them professionally painted, just not sure whether to go matt or gloss finish? You wrapping looked a lot better than mine, your white seats look quality.

Re: Air bag warning after retrim!
Hi Dhali...yep red in the rear too. I had them rewebbed by Airbag team in Hinkley Leicester. Charged me £120 for all 5 belts. Bit of a bitch to get the rears out though especially the one centre one in the rear seat, my hand has only just returned to normal from the angles I had to inflict upon it t...

Re: Air bag warning after retrim!
Royal Steering wheels did the whole Job for £190 including shipping back....Jacks a great guy there and done the same on my old C4s. Steering wheel on its own was £120, small price to pay for what makes a massive difference in looks and feel.

Air bag warning after retrim!
I've just had my steering wheel, handbrake and gaitor retrimmed (looks great don't you think... going for the red accents) however I thought when the wheel went back on the airbag light would have gone off (did when I had my seat belts rewebbed) or does it need to be reset with VAG?

Just had mine done Titanium to match the alloys and I think it looks great but mine body is black, if red I would probably go with black!

Re: Do or don't.....help
Just wanted to agree with all the posts, went for the pre-cat gutting and glad I did, revs much smooth, different tone but not in a bad way and breathes a lot easier.....worth every penny and will pass the MOT as well!
Thanks for the advice guys!
