Re: Thinking of moving from my c7 Performance to a C8
Dam, so Poole Audi are back to being how they was before, awful. I recently had issues with how they re fitted the front bumper, took it back, their approach to it was literally aggressive, told me they would do this and that may need the car overnight, called me several hours later job done apparen...

Re: Stage 2 recommendations
MRC are also good at tuning golfs. I’ve had the MRC tune and now the revo tune and I’m quite happy, they are different and both have pros and cons. At the same time Maxton do a lot of screw on kits for golfs, Audi’s and all kinds if your after a budget mods, that’s never stopped some using them so t...

Re: Revo stage one
There was a purpose for having this done which was over and above the misfire update.

Re: Revo stage one
The ability to return the car to stock within a very quick time has already paid dividend. no such thing, once a car has been mapped it is impossible to remove the digital trace of that map if the manufacturers so wishes they can find it. a tuner/mapper can do their best to hide this but that's all...

Re: Software update
There was an update earlier this year that apparently addressed a misfire.
There is also the actual file number the whole programme is built on.

Re: Mapped cars
I chose to have the tune set to 99ron only. Stage 2 can be run without, but who would put the lower in anyway? I’m happy with the balance I’ve acheived this time, new car, the agent/installer and Revo accept responsibility for the tune. Revo created it and the agent that chooses to use Revo installe...

Re: Mapped cars
Don’t swallow the power pill and act like a sheep! Who are you going to call when it all goes wrong !? It’s all a calculated risk, I went more local this time, based on convenience and previous experience. What does bemuse me in the mod and map world is what people omit to tell you, I wonder why the...

Re: Revo stage one
Revo stage 1 and 2 are similar to the ABT maps, aimed at drivability which has resulted in a smooth drive opposed to out and out aggression. Ive had MRC stage 1 first then stage 2 and did 32k in under 18 months. With this car Revo stage 1 and now 2 set at 99ron. 5k appx so far. Nothing has broken so...

Re: Rs6 vs Mercedes e63s wagon
I test drove the Merc before dropping the last RS6, July or August. The cockpit felt big; perhaps aimed more at comfort and lacked the ergonomic feel of the Audi, the screens used for driver info and sat nav were amazing, if that’s your thing, I spend most of my time looking up and out of the scree...

@classba ahhhh this was on your RS6 C6, that’s when your gearbox contact started it all!
You should have got an intro fee from Teo Motors from day 1!
Richer than rich then
As you know I chose to move the car along and mod the next one.

Re: Brake Thread - OEM Ceramics vs OEM Steel
DS2500's, at the time only listed for the C6,
They were ordered with OEM pads, the Ferrodo would not fit unless part of them was cut off, so OEM were fitted with these new AP discs.
Less than 2k and they were humming,
And as I typed before, the advantage was so nominal I must have missed it.
