Re: Car Wow - Audi RS6 v BMW M5 v AMG E63 v Porsche Panamera - DRAG RACE
It would be more interesting if they did back to backs on road or track to see how the handle at speed rather than a point and press race I very much doubt it could beat an M5 on back roads... Audi's bread and butter has always been the fastest wagon.. it lost that when the E63S and M5 came out but...

Re: Brake pads/discs
Someone else has given me a second opinion and confirmed the discs need changing, they are wavy/grooved. They also said some mercs only get 20,000 miles from a set of discs. Mine were changed at 26k so sounds right. Wish I had ceramics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Do ceramics last longer?

Re: Brake pads/discs
yes, this is the most frustrating thing with this car, whenever you need pads you need disc$$$ at the same time, stupid design

Re: Brake pads
Asked to new pads in and was told they can't as the disc is worn in so they would to machine the disc and since its drilled, they don't want to machine it which means I need to get new pads and discs wtf

Dashcam install on rear tailgate anyone?
Hi guys, Just wondering if any of you have installed a rear dashcam? I installed one in the front without issues but just wanted to know how people are doing it on the rear. As you know the rear opens up and is separated from the body of the car. The cars native wiring goes through the two arms lift...

I'm after a set too, any recommendations? I'm getting it cause I'm just tired of the factory 21" buckling (5th one!)

Re: 21" OEM wheel damage frequency
I forgot to touch wood when I posted cause now the new $3000 replacement wheel from Audi has two new buckles .. 5th one now and I'm looking at alternatives. Any recommended brands for good wheels that match the RS6?

Re: Vibration 75-80mph
I always get this ... when my OEM 21" are buckled... which is.. too often. I am literally looking for new 20" now after fixing/repairing my 5th wheel

Re: Why Dunlop?
I just swapped factory dunlops for P-zeros, which I seen this earlier, would have looked for Michelin Pilot Super Sports, no one they ever offered them in the 21" size

Re: 21" OEM wheel damage frequency
Thanks for the feedback, our roads aren't the best, now I rather just go offroad than risk a small hole, at least I know the quattro will sort me out and get me off the gravel. The PE wheels are nice but I don't want to know how much OEM PE wheels are after paying for the pre-PE 21"

21" OEM wheel damage frequency
Having owned many cars over the years I've never buckled wheels this often on any of them as much as the OEM 21" RS6 ones. Just curious if its my problem or is it common for other owners. I love the look of the OEM and don't want to change, but after 'repairing' 4 wheels and replacing one at $3000nz...

Re: Stolen wheels
I've been tempted to do that a few times after how much they cost and how easily they buckled over a small pot hole. I've been back to Audi 3 times in the last year cause of the wheels

Re: Useful tips and lesser known gems
lol heres one I discovered last week after two years of ownership, I had ordered the window shades for the kids. They pull up from the rear doorsills, last week I saw a similar hook on the tailgate and said I wonder what that's for? Brother in law, who was visiting goes "oh isn't that for the shade?...

Re: Enlighten me on the SIM slot.......
I've been pretty annoyed from day one that they force you to use expensive data through a sim card for updating anything. The car is Wifi but they dont have an option to connect to your home wifi, only create a pointless wifi spot using, once again your expensive sim card as the data connection. Da...
