Hello definitely interested, certainly for 1 or 2, possibly for all 5 if we can agree a price.
However I'm not around much for the next 4 weeks. I'm down in leafy Bucks as several people on here will know.

Re: Does anyone know how to activate auxiliary water pump with VCDS?
Is this a different/additional unit to the Auxiliary Water Pump in a D2 A8/S8? Because that just runs all the time AFAIK, don't even think you can see it in VCDS. The only separate way of controlling it is when using the residual heat system when parked as that turns it on so there must be a relay s...

Re: Cleaning a F125 switch
If you do decide to take the old one apart, which involves drilling out a few rivets, to fix it back together again you need:
M4 Button Head Allen Key Bolts With Nyloc Nuts and Washers in Stainless Steel. I found 16mm to be the ideal length. Can't recall if I used the washers though.

Re: Cleaning a F125 switch
I got a fairly cheap (under £40!) Chinese one recently for my D2 S8 (same unit) and it works fine. Part is 01V919821B. Only issue, and this might be D2-specific, is that the Chinese ones invariably have a slightly shorter cable than OEM, not sure if that's a problem on the RS6 though, maybe just 4.2...

Good chance I'll be there for once, but can only confirm on the day. Fancy a good curry!

Found it: cocrequests@vwg.co.uk to ask for a Certificate of Conformity (supply VIN, registration, name, address and email) and type.approval@vwg.co.uk to ask for Statement of Compliance and Date of Manufacture letter (same details needed) The replies I got specified not only wheel sizes but actual t...

Re: Standard OEM Wheel size
You can also write (email) to Audi and get a full spec, did mine a while ago and they also sent a copy in the post. Can't recall the details of how though.
It's something they have to do to conform with EU and other national regulations should you move countries.

Re: Standard OEM Wheel size
If you can look at the build sticker (usually in the handbook and spare wheel well) there will be codes that will tell you, though offhand I don't know what you need to look for. I'd have thought 18s would be factory fit though, but maybe 19s? If you've got a tyre pressure sticker (fuel flap) that m...

Re: Petrol / Help / VCDS
The infamous CTS! That would certainly make the engine run oddly or be difficult to start. I've replaced quite a few over the years and several have been dodgy even though they appeared 100% genuine. In the end I went to a VW main dealer parts department to get genuine. If you do that they sell the ...

Re: Insurance reccomendations
Oddly I've just left Aviva for one of my cars as they're going up significantly and moved to Privilege which is where my S8 has been for a while. It is in fact just a "rebranding" of Direct Line but semi-separate. In the past I've also moved between D/L and Privilege so it's worth asking them for a ...

Re: RS6 C7 winter tyre advice needed
A separate set of winter wheels at a smaller size is the way I've always gone. Get the smallest (cheapest?) wheels that fit over the brakes and deeper profile tyres so that the rolling radius is the same and speedo unaffected. As for tyres I've only ever used premium brand winter tyres, it doesn't s...

Re: Door blade disappeared
Audi door blades are normally fixed on by clips with holes that slide over lugs/protrusions on the door (or is it the other way round?). There is then one screw at the end to stop it sliding. I recall one of my door bottom strips (like blades but much thinner) coming adrift on my S8. I removed the s...

Re: Brakes-vcds flag
Are you using a genuine Rosstech cable? I've had communication errors like that in the past when using a cheap Chinese cable.
