Re: Rear Brake discs
I recently had a right result with rear discs. Saw them on Eurocarparts for £640 each but with a massive discount making them £104 each. I tried ordering a pair but it seemed only one side was in stock so my order didn't go through but I was able to buy one side for £104. I kept an eye out & with a ...

Re: RS4 B7 Avant rear bumper & parking sensor
I did the above, swapped over my new parking sensors & all seemed good until I went to put in the last/bottom 3 screws underneath. The bumper would swing under enough for the holes to line up. On inspection there was a white mount hitting the crash bar. I loosen the bumper just enough to pull it out...

Re: RS4 B7 Avant rear bumper & parking sensor
It turns out this is quite involved. The boot liner walls need to be removed (or at least at the boot opening end). This involves removing the four tie down brackets. There's then one screw in thr hole where the boot cover hooks in. Each side just pulls out. The lower opening cover also needs removi...

Re: KW V3 Setup
The standard setting out the box are pretty good & set up for the car.
Ride height can be fairly easily adjusted afterwards if needed. They will settle a bit after first install so probably best to install a little bit high.

RS4 B7 Avant rear bumper & parking sensor
I need to replace my rear mid right parking sensor. There's no way I can reach it from underneath as is. Are there any how to's to remove the bumper for a B7 Avant? I can't find a decent one that covers an Avant. I can't find a definitive answer about how much of the interior needs removing to get t...

Re: Dynamic steering
I know some other VAG cars of a similar age had a setting accessible with VCDS that allowed the steering weight to be adjusted. Not sure the B7 has it?

Re: Recall
I got mine done the other day at Tonbridge Audi (Tunbridge Wells). I had to wait a couple of weeks or so because they needed to order the parts. It went fairly smoothly with it being done within 4hrs of dropping it off (better than the two says Caffyns in Eastbourne wanted). Only slight gripe was th...

Re: Recall
The dealer I phoned suggested two days. First day to take the airbag out & see if it needs changing. If it does then they'd order the new one & fit the second day.
I'd have thought they should order it in & do it in one day/an hour!?

Re: Replacement engine control unit (module)
There used to be a place called BBA Reman in Rochester, Kent that used to do re-furbished control modules etc. I used them once for an ABS controll module on an Astra (not mine I hasten to add!!)
They were quick & quite reasonable from memory

Re: Inlet Flaps
Hmmmm, now I'm not sure. There is definitely a tapping noise but it seems at the bulkhead end. I don't know if there would be a limit point without the flaps where the runner sits/rotates.
Either way, the manifold will have to come off!

Re: Inlet Flaps
One idea, i have mine off atm so made a video. When the flaps are fitted, actuating the shaft by hand should feel them provide a positive stop as they contact the manifold wall. No sure what the procedure is for de-flap, is the shaft locked? Otherwise it will rotate until the actuator hits its limi...
